Rediculous.
I just decided today i'm going to miss my car more than my cell phone.
im going to hate not being able to get in my car and going whereever i want when i feel like it.
more than that, i think ima going to miss the boyfriend
im sure i'll be so busy i wont think about it too much!
OH! and AP work, who else is going to be struggling trying to get all their AP stuff done?! Between Art, English an Calc all having something due by July 24, this will be rediculous!!
I feel your pain. I have about 6 or 7 essays to write and 4 or 5 books to read. I already finished my Statistics summerwork and am trying to finish psychology (consisting of 326 vocab words, 30 study questions and a chapter's worth of notes). I think you get the picture. I know we're not supposed to have time to work on it at govschool, but any spare minute will have to do.
Thing I'll miss the most is my bed and peace and quiet.
Re: Summer work
I can offer some advice here...
When I was a gov school student, I had a boyfriend too. Missed him a lot the first week. A little the second week. Saw him on Parent's Weekend the third week and was so sad about leaving Gov. School the fourth week that I wasn't really missing him. It's a good time to grow in the relationship, you really learn to value each other because they're not around.
As for the peace and quiet--you'll find it when you want it. And if you don't feel like being alone, you never have to be.

Re: Summer work
Get as much of your work done before as you can and then be wise about your time at the beginning b/c your 3rd and 4th week you are NOT going to want to miss anything to do work.
I had to finish up a grad class last year. Actually I do this year too, but I'm trying to finish all but one paper before I get there.
Seriously try to get a good chunk done before you come...you'll wish you had...I speak from experience...It's rough.
Re: Summer work
well hopefulyl soem of the stuff i get done while i'm down there i can turn in for my portfolio for ap art...
my teacher's giving me a little bit of break since i'm taking it again this year, i did 2D last year this year im doing 3D, she's stoked i get to go so i begged her to ease up!lol. i just gotta do all that english trash...GAH! erika and shakespeare do NOT get along very well.
Re: Summer work
im feeling your pain! AP Calc, Government, and English . . . aaaahhh! luckily, my english teacher is being really lenient about deadlines, but the rest of the stuff thats due in July i just have to turn in before i leave, im definitely not going to worry about stupid summer work at governor school!
Re: Summer work
haha, so i just dropped AP english becuase i knew i couldnt get it all done...lame i know. but now im dual and all i have to do is write 3 papers! yay! and that way i get automatic college credit. no ap test! yee! and AP Art trash isnt due til first week of school, as for calc, it'll be done soon enough. what a relief.
Summer work
I know! I swear I'm working harder this summer than I have all three years in high school combined. I've been working solid and not much accomplished. Too much work!!!!
Re: Summer work
Yea life sucks when it comes to summer work. Im fine with the reading of the books (for the most part) but the actual assignments kill me. Take the one that is for 1984...youre supposed to give 4 predictions orwell makes and analyze its political, economical, technological, or religious meaning. fun right? Except the @%# teacher gives 8 good examples. which i dont want to use anymore! Or the 14 chapters for AP stats plus questions.
As if govschool and girls state werentenough brain stimulation...
