Residential mooring Swan Island Swan Island at Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, is a good site - it's all residential, about 40 craft of all types. It's affordable too, at about £200 per month for a 10m boat. They provide electircity (not free!), water (free), showers, washing machine... Secure as well. 30 mins from Waterloo from Strawberry Hill station. Coincidentally  I am selling my boat on a mooring there. It's a newly built, 32x9ft, all-steel one-bedroom boat, fully fitted - bar tiling the shower. Might do it before I sell. I'm asking £42,000 but will consider offers.These moorings don't come up very often. I've loved it here for the last two years (I bought an old wooden boat to move onto the island and had a new steel one built on the Grand Union canal).
