Rotational Mob Engagement Guidelines
1.) When a rotation MOB is spotted by someone, the spotter should announce in /guildchat that the MOB is up.
If AiF is on the rotation:
2.) If a raid for the MOB is scheduled (either on MOTD or the guild boards), and the MOB is spotted within the 24 hour RTA time period, guild members must wait for the scheduled event. While we realize that there results in more opportunity for other guilds to join on a rotation, that is ok. We’ll wait until the next spawn. If something is scheduled, we want to make sure that people who have planned to attend get to enjoy the experience that they were expecting.
3.) If a raid for the MOB is scheduled (either on MOTD or the guild boards), and the MOB is spotted outside the 24 hour RTA time period (i.e. spotted 24+ hours before the raid), guild leadership must be notified so it can be dealt with. If an officer is on, they must be notified by the spotter, and the officer will coordinate rescheduling the raid, or notify guild representatives who may be able to swap MOB turns with another guild if it is deemed that not enough firepower is online to handle the MOB. If an officer is not on, the spotter must announce the spawn on the guild message boards so that guild representatives can either reschedule the raid, or deal with other guilds to swap MOB turns.
4.) If no raid is scheduled for the MOB, an officer must be notified ASAP. The officer will either organize an impromptu raid, or will post on the guild boards so that guild representatives can either schedule a raid, or deal with other guilds to swap MOB turns.
If AiF is not on the rotation:
5.) If an officer is on, they will either organize an impromptu raid, or will post on the guild boards so that guild representatives can schedule a raid, or deal with other guilds to ask concession for entering the rotation if defeating the MOB is within our abilities and goals.
6.) If no officer is on at the time of the rotation spawn, the spotter should announce the spawn on the guild message boards so that guild representatives have the option of scheduling a raid if defeating the MOB is within our abilities and goals.
Regardless of AiF rotation status:
7.) In any case, a guild officer must approve of a raid against a rotational MOB.
8.) For successful raids, the Raid Leader must post on the Raid forum the date/time of the mob kill, a listing of all the loot that dropped, and who it got awarded to. It would also be helpful to include highlights of the kill (for purposes of the newsletter) as part of that post, especially if the PR Officer was not able to attend the raid himself. We need this information so we can brag about it, and to update the RTA rotations appropriately.
