SI Money (and Exp) Making Scheme

Last night, I was crafting at the Camelot forge when somebody asked me to do some salvaging for him. So I salvaged around 10 or 12 weapon drops for him. They were all in the 15.0-16.0ish dps range, 80-92 quality. Not only did they all salvage for arcanium, some of them dropped for of arcanium. All told over 500g worth of metal. Two of the weapons in particular were worth about 125g each of metal. I asked him where he got all this, he responded with "soloing near the entrance of Avalon City in SI", and he noted the drop rates are pretty nice.
Which leads me to believe, if we can get together a full or nearly full group of 40+ pallies with nearly empty backpacks, we ought to be able to make each, in one outing. This could also help those of us still trying to ding 50.
Plus, this could be beneficial for our crafters. I'm sure there are several crafters in the guild and alliance who would need the arcanium. Since arcanium costs 5.1g per bar from the merchant, let's set the bar at 4g per for these drops once salvaged. That 20% discount would be really helpful. I personally could right now buy ten plat worth of arcanium at that rate.
Of course, you need to have SI to participate. Avalon City is quite easily reached from the SI entrance; just hop on a horse for Caer Diogel (the crafting paradise) and jump off at Avalon City.
In fact, immediately after the expedition, I suppose we could run to Caer Diogel and salvage straight away.
After just a couple of such outings, there would be no reason why we can all have 100% quality weapons and armor and no reason why every alliance keep shouldn't have lvl 10 doors
I believe Anne's pb ae group has got a lot of drops from Av City. I assume they are distributed to people in group. Maybe Anne will keep them from now on as a tax for playing Lerris. I think Aart still need like 10p to get to 1K

I donated all the drops we got to the guild for future needs (i.e. crafters, housing etc.) I also donated some seals and such from old DF groups.
I hope the Windowed patch goes live so I can get back to finishing up Alchemy. I have 50 points to 1000 then start the trek up to 1100 and Reactive Ablative Aura Proc.

If you can get a good group og 6 - 8 (AE heavy group with 2 good healers) take on the Hodges and the Lindon families in the Dales ...
LOTSA drops from weapons, to jewelry, cloaks and armor. Some of it is very much junk, like the plate greaves with +3 juve on them that you can salvage. Other stuff is REALLY worthwile. I've got a mule in camelot selling some 96q+ stuff with some great stats. Anything less that 96q we just salvage. Wood salvages for ?Ebonwood? that the top, right? and the metal salvages for Arcanium.
I think we figured within 1 hour, our group made about 1.5 plat. (thats the whole group, 7 people average).
Decent EXP, Good Money .. and Constant. You bounce from house to house (maybe have a rez/buff bot camp 1 house so no one comes in behind you and rez incase of a TPW).
These guys con Oj to Purple to 50. and they come in a group .. always.
So .. no takin' our spot if we're there, but there's a another option for ya
