Sigma Six at Target
Spotted at Target on its own endcap. Wave 1 of Sigma Six 8" Joes from the new cartoon series. All characters plus the hovercycle and kid-size blaster weapon were $14.99.

The new Target on 1960 at Cutten Road has a special on the figures and cycle. They are $12.74 each through October. This Target replaces the North Oaks Target at FM1960 and Steubner-Airline.

While I do not see this line appealing to Joe collectors (large or small), I think it has kid possibilities if the prices come down.

The first wave are all "deluxe" figures with multiple nicely-done accessories and packaging that converts into a plastic chest for accessory storage. While a great recycling effort, the grey plastic helps camoflage the packaging, which unfortunately lacks the RAH red white and blue theme and is rather dull and lifeless.

Re: Sigma Six at Target
Greetings.

The Baybrook Target had a whole end cap full of Sigma 6, about a week ago. I was in there Sat. 10/15, and it looked well picked over. There were only a hand full of figures left.

While raiding the 40th sets at KB (Baybrook Mall), I noticed that they only had five or six Sigma 6 figures left, even at $19.99 each (rip off). The 2 ninjas weren't seen any where. :lol (ninjas = stealth, hidden)(get it?)

The GIJCC sold their entire first shipment of Sigma 6. Somebody is buying them, and at full pop retail. I suspect there might be a few closet Sigma 6 fans out there.

IMO I think the packaging is the most ingenius part of the figure. I like how the ends combine to form a storage box for the acessories.
The blaster weapon, "Switchfire," doesn't seem to be selling as fast. There were still plenty at the store. That is another reason I suspect secret adult collectors.

Personally, I like the ninjas, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. They are pretty cool. I like the flip open communicator in the left arm of the figure. Wish they were 12" tall. I think these fig.s would be good just as they are, except in a 12" size.

My beef with the storage case end panels, is the completed storage box doesn't hold all the spare bits and peices included with the figure. IMO It could have been a bit larger.

Yes, I bought a few of 'em. And I played with 'em, too. I am hereby outing myself as a former closet Sigma 6 buyer.
They don't really seem like a Joe, but they are pretty cool little action figures.

Regards,
David
