Silent Hill 2 I finished Silent Hill 2 yesterday. It was basically the same as the first game. It was easier, that's for sure. Silent Hill games seem to be more about atmosphere, while Resident Evil games are more about gameplay. I finished SH 2 with a ton of ammo and health items left. The first SH had a creepier atmoshphere, but the second game wasn't as hokey and supernatural. I suppose I like the first game better. The puzzles were way more interesting and brain bending (yet solvable), and it was a little tougher. |

I LOVE FO!
Devil May Cry sounds like a game I might like to get; I think I would pass on Silent Hill 2. At this point, I don't think I need to get a game if I'm reasonably sure ahead of time I won't thoroughly enjoy it.
Are you sure the RE series is more about gameplay (not necessarily relative to SH; just on absolute terms)? I remember you saying RE:CV had nonexistant gameplay. Crawl and 1000 |

Survival Whorer Well, RE: CV seemed to try for gameplay, but it didn't work. It's kind of analagous to how FF VIII tried to be a great story game, but it absolutely fell flat. I can't picture replaying SH 2. I still have other games to try, but I'm still occupied with Devil May Cry. I have no urge to try Maximo yet. WTF is with this security thing? I tried like 5 times to post this. |

Re: Code Veronica is a poor representation of the RE series, though. It just isn't like the other games. The other Resident Evil games are very much focused on solving puzzles and fighting enemies. ![]() Fear it! |

Re: Re: The GameCube remake, or whatever you want to call it, of Resident Evil will be my first time playing a game in the RE series. I've been somewhat interested in the games for a long time, but never had the motivation to buy one of them until now. |
