So after finishing HBP, what questions do you have?
After reading the HBP and thinking back about what has happened in the other books, some of the things I am wondering about are
*Aunt Petunia - She obviously knows more about the wizarding world than she ever let on. What is really going on there?
*RAB - Identity obviously, and if it is who I think it is, is he/she really dead or has he/she been in hiding all these years?
*The Weasley Twins - I was started rereading The Order of the Phoenix last night and when Ron got Prefect, Mrs. Weasley comments "that makes everyone in the family", but Fred and George were NOT prefects. And Mrs. Black's portrait keeps calling them half-bloods. Could they have been adopted from another relative? Pure speculation on my part of course.
*Crookshanks - I've read on some other forums the theory of Crookshanks being an animagus, but I don't think he is. If he were, his real name should have shown up on the Marauder's Map like Scabbers/Peter Pettigrew's did.
I'm sure as I continue to read and think about it, more questions will come up. So what are you wondering about?

My questions are some of the same that I've had for awhile and some are new.
What is the significance of Lily's eye's?
Who's side is Snape on?
(New One) RAB?
What happend to the mirror that Harry shattered? Will he ever use it again?
What does Dumbldore see when he looked into the Mirror of Erised, and what would the shape of his bogart be?
Will Percy ever come around from being a git?
(New One) Will Harry finish out his seventh year at Hogwarts? I just don't see him not going back to school.
(New one) Why is the number seven so significant to Voldemort?
(New One) What's going to happen with Fawkes?
Where is Ludo Bagman? Is he on the run or in hiding from the creditors (goblins)?
obsessed...but
not in a crazy way.

Seven is suppose to be a strong magical number. I think it's a number that holds the most power or something.
Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to!

I know that seven is a powerful number and has strong magical tendencies towards it. I also know that seven is used throughout history quite alot, and in everyday life; (for example; the Bible, there are seven days in the week, etc...). I was just thinking that there could be more to it with Voldemort.

Re: So after finishing HBP, what questions do you have?
Well- there are 7 books in the series.
My son suggested that JKR hid one horcrux in each book. Which, only sort of works, since the first book I think belongs to the scar horcrux, but obviously also mentione Voldemort (although he isn't literally a horcrux, we presume he did keep that remaining 7th of a soul in himself. And, he doesn't really make an appearance, but the only bit of him left would, one presume be his soul).
Only problem- for the life of me I cannot find anything in PoA that hits me as Horcrux worthy.

Crookshanks is not an Animagus, he is half Kneazle. I think the excerpt of the description of the new Minister of Magic (I don't have the book nearby- what was his name??) that was released a few months ago, really seemed to give some people the idea that he was!

What did Dumbledore mean when he said the uncle and aunt had done Dudley great damage?
What up with Aunt Petunia anyway?
How is Rowling going to redeem Snape? (B/c she IS going to.) So did he have a thing for Lily or what?

Here's what I think DD meant by harming Dudley. They turned him into a spoiled brat who is also a bully. And a fat spoiled brat of a bully too. He doens't have the means to make it on his own without mommy and daddy holding his fat hand and treating him like a baby. He won't do anything for anyone unless it pays him.
Re: So after finishing HBP, what questions do you have?
What was up with Tonks in this book? Was she really acting all that weird because she was in loooove, or was she polyjuiced? Why would Lupin want her if she's all grey and draggy anyway?
Ah Susan- there are millions of theories about Snape on the net. I haven't settled on one yet, but I expect she will redeem him, and he will be on the good side (but, still a jerk) by the end.
Snape and Lily- I think so. Did you notice in this last book that they were often mentioned together? I was convinced that he was the HBP, and that she had charmed that book somehow, and that was why Harry could read it, but Ron never could manage. Ah well.
OK- will GinnySue ever get to be less annoying?
And I'm totally with Rhonda on the Dudley harming. LOL- wonder if DD heard about the tail?

I was thinking the same thing while I was reading, but as soon as they came out with it, her hair went back to pink, so I guess it was just the love thing.

I don't think Tonks would have been all 'grey and draggy'... she might have just looked like a 'normal' person!

Re: So after finishing HBP, what questions do you have?
If someone else got there and took the locket, how did they manage to do it and live? Would JKR really have DD die having failed, or did Snape perform a dangerous magic trick? Why the urgency to seeing Snape - for potion or something else? If DD has more to say, can't we find out from his picture? I have a lot of questions about subplots that didn't seem to go anywhere. I'd like a happy surprise in Book 7. Is that too much to ask?
