St. Clement, the Creator of the Bulgarian Alphabet
It is on this day, 24 May, that every year Bulgarians celebrate the cultural achievements of their ancestors. Bulgarian alphabet, formally known as Cyrillic, is superior to the few other scripts used in Europe today. Let’s remember its creator, St. Clement of Ohrid, the best teacher that the Bulgarians have ever had.

Terro is not an example of a brilliance in English.
What does that mean? That St. Clement is an Macedonian idiot or that he was Macedonian and Omurtag (who posted that) is an idiot?
Either way, though, that is not true. I've read some of your post, Terro, concerning Macedonia and I must tell you that your ignorance is striking. I wouldn't give my opinion on matter I know nothing about. Unfortunately for you, ignorance can not be awarded with money. If that was the case, you'd be so rich that Abramovich would mop your kitchen floor and Bill Gates would garden your backyard.

Yup. There was no such thing as 'macedonian identity' until a century ago. Of course, it is too much to expect you to know that. You are one of those who mix geography with history.

Thanks, mate! What would I do without your help? Now will you check somewhere to which country Ohrid belonged in the 9-10th century when the alphabet was spread?

Terro is just an instigator. Rarely makes sense and never has anything intelligent to say.

I mean really... is this even worth debating?

Not really in the case of the St Clement we are talking about. Not that guy Canaris managed to dig out from somewhere:lol and who has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.

I think most reasonable people fully understand the Bulgarian role in Ohrid and their establishment of Orthodox Christianity over most of the area known as Macedonia today.

Interestingly... TR has been putting forth all the wonderful attributes of the newest social club in Montenegro (called the Montenegrin orthodox Church).

Just a bit about the MTOC.

They are NOT in communion with any proper Orthodox Church, however they are in full communion with the other uncanonical churches like the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kievan Patriarchate, Orthodox Church in Italy and Bulgarian Alternative Synod. :rollin

My "practice" is to give little kids like yourself lessons in Church Canons, Orthodox Ecclesiology and a "bit" of theology to boot.

You'd be wise to start paying attention.

Re: St. Clement, the Creator of the Bulgarian Alphabet
So st Clement made a Slavic alfabet for 'bulgar' ppl with asiatic origin and names as kubrat and asparuh and titles as khans who spoke asiatic??Wow, that a fine logic, i must admit!!! And he did it straight from Ohrid the heart of Macedonian ppl and land. So you think that cuz it was OCCUPIED by the bulgarian empire that fact somehow makes it a bulgar alfabet or language???I told you if you want a bulgar language - go dig up in mongolia or somewhere....

This Slavic language you speak today is and always was MACEDONIAN language.Your bulgarian is just a broken, rotten form of it....I dont know how you ppl dont get ashamed of yourselves!!You are SLAVS not TATARIC BULGARS!!Why dont you change your countrys name into something more apropriate and Slavic, like Thracia, for exmpl???You are betreyers of your selves. The worse kind.

Your vrhovists killed Jane Sandanski and now you desecrate his grave by proclaiming a Macedonian hero a TATARIC one!!!Shame, shame, shame on you!!!!

"Being shocked and increasingly concerned, I struck the village mayor when I heard him speak Bulgarian, which he wishes to call Macedonian, and I recommended that in the future he should always and everywhere speak only Greek, and that he should recommend that his villagers do the same." Greek Infantry Lieutenant Dim. Kamburas, Armensko, January 25, 1925.

---------

"...I asked him what language they spoke, and my Greek interpreter carelessly rendered the answer Bulgare. The man himself had said Makedonski. I drew attention to this word and the witness explained that he did not consider the rural dialect used in Macedonia the same as Bulgarian, and refused to call it by that name. It was Macedonian, a word to which he gave the Slav form of Makedonski, but which I was to hear farther north in the Greek form of Makedonike". Allen Upward, The East End of Europe. London, 1908, pp. 204-205.
