Starting RP
Mainly just because I'm bored, but really because I miss it very muchly, I'm bringing the Band back to life with the Andor/Manetheren War RP. Anyone and all are welcome to join in, it'll be great fun. A series of battles, skirmishes, raids, and whatnot all designed . . . to destroy Andor! *cackle* . . . okay, so not really.

First off and perhaps most important--Banders are needed to make this RP come off the ground. I'd like as many of you as possible to make at LEAST an NPC . . . and bring your others chars in too! The Black Tower will be directly involved, seeing as how it's in Andor, and has Asha'man running around with the Band. The White Tower will be indirectly involved--they have connections to both factions as well, and will send Aes Sedai to investigate, without a doubt. Anyway, now a brief outline, so people get an idea of what I'm envisioning.

PHASE 1 ~ The Dry Wind Blows
A. Tensions are already tight between Andor and the Band. Neither side respects or trust the other. Especially since the debacle with Ksathra and the destruction of Baerlon and Manetheren's growing influence in the area. Andor sent parties of men to rebuild the city that were chased off by farmers that now claimed to be Manetheren men.

B. Angered, but also put into a state of fear by the rapidly growing military unit that Saker has managed to build . . . even while in Tear. They hold their tongue until he returns to Baerlon and rebuilds the city into something that more resembles Caemlyn, and sends a large amount of men into the Mountains that Andor's spies could not track.

C. This keys the first military outing against the Band. Ten thousand Queen's Guards under the Lion of Andor march towards Baerlon, but are met in Whitebride by the Band and by Lord Mandell himself. While violence is avoided, the standoff grows increasing ill-fated-looking.

PHASE 2 ~ Wildfire

(most of the above already has/is transpiring . . . phase 2 will be totally new, and is very open to adaption)

A. The situation at Whitebridge simply explodes. A party of Andor men, angered at being held back from what they consider their own lands, row across the river in a rowboat in a sneak-in assassination attempt of Lord Mandell. Unfortunately for them, an Asha'man catches them in the water and sends them to the bottom of the river. Andoran and Manetheren sentries both see it, claim the other side attacked first, and it results in a bloody clash on the bridge itself.

B. THe first battle ends in the Band's favor, due solely to the Asha'man, who drive them back with saidin. The toll is high on both sides, but the Band, feeling threatened, calls in more men. With the advantage of Traveling with their Asha'man held over the Andorans, they bring a much more massive force against the Andorans, beating them out the city and driving them backwards.

C. Being driven from Whitebridge sparks the Queen into declare immediate war on the Band. She begins to rally her army, and sends masses of men to Four Kings to gather and wait. Saker, knowing he cannot fight this force directly, employs all his tactical prowess and tools to hand to fight a massive-scale guerilla war, launching attacks at Andoran columns all across the country.

D. In an attempt to lure his men into open battle, she pushes for Baerlon once more. (also, this is where any and all WT intervention will come . . . by this time it is becoming clear that whoever wins this will essentially rule all of Andor, if not by name then by power. The Queen also will probably send a force to "pin" the Asha'man in the Tower, but of course, they will not like being threatened so, and will most likely retailate in some way. Lexi, Aran . . . thoughts on this?)

PHASE 3 ~ The Blaze Roars

A. Saker meets this Andoran force in the field, at a small village known as Queen's Blessed. Saker reaches the village first and builds fortifications around it, and the Andorans, some 80,000 strong, do not hold back in their attacking. Through two days of blood, Saker leads the Band to another victory, coming down and pushing the reeling enemy back towards Caemlyn.

B. The Black Tower (once again, Aran, I'll need your input here :D ) comes out of the Tower and sides opening with Saker. The White Tower sides openly with Andor, widening the rift between the Towers. A few Aes Sedai sent to help hold Caemlyn are caught and held prisoner by the Asha'man, and the rift deepens, threats of out-right war coming from both sides.

C. Saker lays seige to Caemlyn, attacking the walls only once and managing little but a massive blood-letting. He holds back, using the Asha'man to sabotage relief efforts of the Aes Sedai, and also Travels into the walls with teams of men a few times to sabotage weapons and the like. Caemlyn, teetering on the edge of defeat . . . attacks.

D. The morn of yet another battle, the Queen rides out to lead her men to battle. She passes out of sight for a moment . . . and is never seen again. The Andorans, devastated, blame this on the Manetherens, who protest innocence, but, devastated, helpless, leaderless . . . the Andorans surrender the city by nightfall.

FINISH ~ dwindling fires

A. Saker and the Band have a few choices to make (again, input from others needed), but they will NOT take over rule of Andor. Nor is the Queen dead. She . . . escaped, was captured, ran away, or fled . . . . or all of the above, who knows? But it'll lead to many more interesting Andor-related RPs. Maybe.

B. a lot of post-war aggression is going to linger between the Towers, and the prisoner issue will have to be sorted out . . . plus, the White Tower is going to have to re-evaluate the Asha'man, who they really have been underestimating this entire time.

Annnnd . . . I think that's about it. Post all thoughts, comments, input, everything, here. :)

Re: Starting RP
Looks good from here. Tough to get a good solid grip without all leaders of Orgs in place.

I'm here on stand by.

And if Curlan is becoming second in command, the whole wolfbrother/goldeneyes has got to come into play.

Well . . . um . . . your almighty DL, which never forgets anything, merely misplaced that bit of information, so you can put in how you would like to see it come into play. :)

Re: Starting RP
sounds good Raekal. I would think that as for the Tower they will be forced to strike back rather harshly at Andor. By now the Asha'man will be tired of having to hold back from standing up for themselves. They will look to establish themselves a force of power and influence in the world and start to take the same role as the Aes Sedai in that manner. I think at some point it is going to come pretty close to all out war against the Towers. that's my input
