Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
Would anybody be interested in doing Synapse's TF some time this Saturday? I will try to finish a small RP episode regarding Code Basilisk prior to that, so I can actually use him on the TF... Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful and appreciated regarding the TF, I haven't had the chance to do any of 'em yet...
Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
I'd like to join you, but it will depend on what level Briare makes it to by then. It is turning out to be one of those crazy, tear my hair out, type weeks here, so I haven't had much time for leveling. I'm interested, though, so I figured I'd post.
Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
I can do it, either with Quickshot (17 Blaster) or with Swiftwind (16 Tauntless Tank). What time? (We'll need 4 people, and it takes about 8 hours to do the TF).
Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
Hmm... I don't have any plans for Saturday... yet, so anytime is good for me. If it's going to take 8 hours, how about start around 1 PM EST? That leaves some time for lunch and won't run waaay too late to complete the TF. (Or start around 10-11 and take breaks in between... either way works for me)

Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
(( I dont have a character that can do that TF that is in P:R. WHale is over the cap and NotKW is still level 2. ))
Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
Just cause someone (*points to husband*) is trying to confuse me, and I don't want to mess up here, I'm going to double check...
Is the plan to do the Positron (lvl 10 to 16) or Synapse (lvl 15 to I think 21) TF? I know the post says Synapse, but he said last night people were talking about the one under lvl 16.... so I want to be unconfused.
I was talking about organizing a Positron (levels 10-15) Task Force for the Very Near Future with you, Meiyen, Footpad and Witch Engine (if they're interested). I'd be playing Nebula, a level 11 gravity Controller. I'd be up for it starting any night this week unless you're really close to level 16, at which point the TF would break.
After this week, I may not have a ton of play time, so if you're interested, let me know ASAP.
On an unrelated note, I'd love to try to Synapse Taskforce with Thundergirl sometime, but with a SMALL group. I don't have the time to dedicate to a huge group doing it, since you end up with a ton more enemies and larger mission maps, essentially doubling the amount of time the task force takes.

Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
The one I am hoping that we have enough people to do on Saturday is the 16-20 one... It looks like once you get to 16, you won't be able to do the first TF... Which means if I want to do that I'd have to start over with another character to 15
Last night I believe Footpad mentioned that he made 16 and Witch Engine made 17, so they won't be able to do the positron one anymore...
So far for the Synapse TF, all we have are damage types... I am hopeful that a controller and a healer could join us, otherwise it'd be... quite fun I'd imagine figuring out new tactics and a good amount of tactical retreats I'd imagine.
Oh wait... TG you're interested in Synapse you say? It just might work!
Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
I was just skimming the dev posts on the main forum and came across this...
* On Training Room is a fix to all known Story Arc issues. This means that those people who are "stuck" on Story Arcs can now continue them. The -level- of the Story Arc will be the maximum level of the Contact that issued it, so if you have outlevelled that Contact, you will find the Story Arc filled with grey-Con villains, but on the plus side it is now completable (and very easily too).
So it would SEEM that even if we did start the Positron SA at lvl 15 and were to gain a lvl or two before being able to complete it, once this patch goes live, it would be completable. The problem is, of course, that we don't know when the patch would go live. And as I understand it, you are stuck only grouping with your task force until the story arc is completed or all give it up. So while it sounds great in theory that we could start Positron and Synapse both and just wait to complete Positron until the patch goes live, I guess it would be less than ideal, if I'm reading everything right.
But perhaps, at least, this can fix anyone who was stuck with a TF that couldn't be completed?
That's something else. A story arc is a group of related missions from a contact that gives you an experience bonus and a souvenir when you complete them all. You start running into these around level 10-12, and they have names like Bonefire and Mind of a King.
Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
I got Aliuneidis up to level 15, so if we're heavy on Tanks/Scrap/Blasters, I'll play him. He kind of sucks against Clockwork, but is versatile enough to make it through. The RP is fun.
Re: Synapse Task Force this Saturday?
I should be on the game before 1pm EST. I hope we can get 4 people from P:R on to do it. I've been having really bad luck lately in managing to get into a team. And I detest soloing.
They said it couldn't be done...
We nearly did it. 2 Scrappers (one at 19 and one at 17) and 2 Blasters (one at 18 and one at 16) began the Synapse Task Force. It took about 15 hours to finally get to the Clockwork King. And someone stole our Babbage. He was quite late, so we didn't get to fight him.
Code Basilisk and Quickshot managed to duo a good portion of one mission. Quickshot, alone, managed to solo and rescue 3 out of 6 hostages in a mission. (This was all oranges and reds).
We all hit max XP debt. But we made it to the end and there was Clockwork King. I used the immobilizer that Positron gave to me on him...
and it didn't work.
His mental powers and 4000 HP were too much. We got him to about 10 percent, but no matter how many times we tried (and poor Rogue Rook was giving us inspirations for a solid hour), it wasn't happening.
