Charming. Inevitable I guess.

It's not a bad list.
It just means we're watching you.
Seriously though, do you guys have any plans to get some activity back here? Talking to Kevin just recently, he said he was planning to retire from the hobby permanently.

Re: Talamthom is on "The List"
Its only inevitable if nothing is done to stem the tide, or lack thereof. For the amount of land TT has, I don't think its necessary to be running 50 posts a day or anything (correct me if I am wrong Ryan) But with activity the way it is, I know how hard it is to get things back together sometimes.

Re: Talamthom is on "The List"
Personally, I don't think there's any need to close Talamthom down any time soon. We've had an extended slow period, but to my mind it's lasted almost exactly one university term by this point.
Now, I can't speak for anybody else here, but my next term is looking fairly light on the degree front (at least compared to the previous term), and as such I'm looking to get slightly more involved again. I have also been checking my office (the Aras) every few days (though I haven't had time to look over the rest of our fora so frequently).
It would be a shame to see Talamthom fizzle out in this manner.

Well i don't know. My time is gettign tighterand no-one is committing to stick at it. My bill wouldn't be spelling the end of TT just a time of closure.

Re: Talamthom is on "The List"
I would hate to see it close or mothball too, although not a citizen, I have tried to do what I can to keep some modicum of activity here. TT is close to my heart and I have an interest in seeing it continue on.
For as little or much as that contributes to things.
Re: Talamthom is on "The List"
It a sickening feeling to think that for nearly two years we worked hard to get this place working. We met tons of great people and yet can this place really survive? All the old greats of mn's are falling the commonwealth is a veritable graveyard for such nations. I can't keep active due to dissertation commitments and have been losing enthusiasm since the EZ-Board disaster. Yet the thought of quiting is deeply paining. I have no idea what shouls be done but I honestly cannot see mn's surviving for much longer.
Regards,

Re: Talamthom is on "The List"
Well, you have my opinion on the mothballing. I'm constitutionally bound to ratify the bill if it is passed, but I'm thrown into some conflict as far as the office of President goes.
On the one hand, it is beyond my mandate to use my executive powers to halt a bill passed by the Dáil, yet on the other hand I am supposed to be the executive here in Talamthom, and I really can't be expected to allow the nation to 'go under'.
I have a couple of projects that I would like to see pursued in Talamthom, which I will discuss with the relevant parties in the next day or two. Whether or not they will drum up the necessary enthusiasm to keep us afloat will probably become apparent in the next few weeks.

Well as long as there is a plan. I have myself run out of time to formulate ideas. If you veto the bill and send it back to the Dáil then we can reconsider.

Re: Talamthom is on "The List"
I am prepared to veto the bill, though as this would be potentially overstepping my mandate I'd rather it was failed by Ministerial voting. Let's wait and see eh?

Perhaps an indecent proposal, but would Thalamthom consider merging with another micronation, under the condition that the irish theme can be maintained?

Re: Talamthom is on "The List"
I know that my activity has been sporadic, and when TT is evaluated my activity isn't even counted. I know I haven't been such a good citizen activity-wise, but I would HATE with a passion to see Talamthom go down like this.
I love Talamthom, probably as much as I love Alexandria. I would really love to work with Prendy and everyone else to fix this place up and start things up again.
I apologize for my long absence, my 6-year old brother was very sick and I had to stay home to take care of him (and I just got a girlfriend too)...
I want to make things work, I want TT to keep chugging along.

Mr Warren: as Mr O Ceallaigh has already stated, ideas like this are floated from time to time and have so far been met with little enthusiasm. But thank you for the suggestion...
Mr Portela: we have all had a very trying time macronationally recently for one reason or another, and your absence is (at least as far as I am concerned) forgiven. As far as keeping Talamthom afloat goes, I believe we can make it work, and I appreciate your continued assistance.

Re: Talamthom is on "The List"
Righty. Well I'm still here just about! Demanding times for all of us. We just have to keep legislative activities (especially) ticking over to keep this state viable.
