The Legend of Star Wars
Once upon a time in a galaxy, far, far away....
The Sith Empire once spanned nearly half of the galaxy. It was comprised of such prominent Republic holdings as the Corellia, Coruscant, and Commenor systems. Its fleets were the most advanced and largest the galaxy had ever seen. The Republic could not keep pace with the legendary efficiency of the Sith factories, and soon lost its foothold in the Core Worlds.
The Sith Fleet continued its relentless assault on the last remaining Republic systems: Yavin, Mon Calamari, Chandrilla, and Dantooine. However, total annihilation of the Republic and complete Sith control over the galaxy, would never happen.
The Republic gathered the bulk of its forces on Dantooine for the final defense. They merely had to hold off the Sith landing forces long enough for the Jedi to infiltrate their flagship.
As the infamous Imperium-class battle cruisers poured out of hyperspace and the troop transports emerged from their docking bays, a small, cloaked shuttle began its approach to the Sith flagship, Death’s Hand.
The fighting on the planet’s surface was fierce. Thousands had been lost on both sides, but the Sith Army’s technology gave them the advantage, and the Republic began to lose ground.
The Jedi’ shuttle docked with the flagship now, and the taskforce of six Jedi Masters emerged and began their advance on the bridge.
Once on the bridge, the Jedi found it deserted except for two figures hooded and cloaked, watching the glitter of explosions on the planet below. The two figures were Darth Malice and former Jedi, Darth Vega. As the Jedi drew closer, the two Sith turned in unison and ignited the crimson blades of their lightsabers.
The battle that ensued on the bridge of the Death’s Hand is largely unrecorded in any known archives, except for the outcome. Four of the Jedi that confronted the Sith Lords perished during the fight. Darth Malice had been wounded critically by the remaining Jedi, Aryla L'Equin and Luke Johnson, and only narrowly escaped with his apprentice. Before leaving, the Jedi engaged the self-destruct sequence of the battle cruiser.
As Darth Malice’s personal Lambda-2 shuttle, and Vega's Sith Interceptor fled from the Death’s Hand, Malice contacted what cruisers he could and ordered them to travel with Darth Vega to the distant Onderon system and wait for him to arrive.
The part of the Sith Fleet that remained engaged above Dantooine was either destroyed or fled to various systems in the Tingel Arm sector of the galaxy, not to be discovered for some time.
The Republic Navy recaptured the Core and Colony Region systems that had fallen under Sith control, while the rest of the former Sith Empire fell into disarray.
Darth Malice landed at his home on Coruscant, now a Republic world, but did not stay long. He gathered his son and daughter and fled to Tatooine, only to be found a year later by a bounty hunter and killed. The daughter of the Sith Lord was given to a family on the outskirts of Mos Eisley, a spaceport on Tatooine. The son, Marcus Orillion, disappeared from his home. There is no record of any sightings of the Sith Lord’s son.
Four years have now come to pass since the fall of the Sith Empire. The Republic, with help from the growing Jedi Order, has established order in much of the Central Systems of the galaxy. However, though the darkness has passed for now, a new evil looms on the horizon. This new evil has yet to show itself, but many can sense its presence. This evil threatens to bring with it a conflict that will shake the very fabric of the galaxy. Nothing will ever be the same. So are you up for the challenge?
