Facilitypro Moderator (7/21/01 1:27 am) Reply	This whole 'Invasion" thing... What does everyone think about it? Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. I didn't like it at first, mainly because I never watched WCW, so I didn't care about any of the WCW wrestlers. And I can't stand Booker T. I never liked him, and I don't like him any more, now. I find the whole thing kind of entertaining now, though, what with all the WWF guys getting together on the same side against ECW and WCW. Seeing Stone Cold run in last Monday was really cool; prehaps the coolest thing I've seen on RAW this year. This brings some new questions though. I can't see WCW getting it's own TV shows anytime soon, so I'm wondering how long the "rivaling schools" thing will last. Anyway, since I have no definite preference either way for the invasion things, I'll list my pros and cons: Pros: Gives WWF fans something big to cheer for. Lots of chances for guys like Jericho and Tajiri to step up big. Cons: I don't know nor do I care for the WCW. If one side "loses," at invasion, it could be hard for that fed to look good to fans. I can't really picture one side coming out on top 100%. Everyone knows in the wrestling buisness that once someone loses a reputation, it's hard to get it back (a la Billy Gunn).

I like that Pual Heyman isn't doing commentary anymore,and that Taz stopped talking and has started wrestling more now.. oh,and Booker T. is a total peice of crap. Always hated him... This match is a joke though. I don't know what they were smoking when they decided they'd try to pawn off the Dudleys as two of WCW/ECW's best. How could they pick them over a Lance Strom, RVD, or a Tommy Dreamer? Anyway, on the one hand, I like the WCW guys getting exposure since I've been more of a WCW fan than a WWF fan for many years now. (As Heyman said, they're not about sports entertainment; they're about WRESTLING.) Also, anything that gets Paul and Tazz away from a microphone is good (WWF needs to seriously kiss Jerry Lawler's ass now though). On the other hand, I want WCW to have its own show. As for Booker T, I like the guy a lot. He has it all: wrestling ability, charisma, mic skills, and he worked hard to earn the spot he has now. I hate the way WWF is portraying him though (having to cheat and all). I think Invasion is already too much like nWo. As long as it gets more air time for Stephanie, I'll live with it. I really wish they'd give WCW and ECW their own shows and save cross-promotional stuff for special PPV events though. They could give WCW Smackddown or Raw for now until they get their own timeslot. They might as well give ECW Heat since it sucks anyway. I will admit that it gave me a rush to see my favorite WCW wrestler (Kanyon) wrestle my favorite WWF one (Jericho) and then wrestling against each other in a tag match where my favorite ECW guy (RVD) was Kanyon's partner. Now that I think about it, it's funny how the guys I like usually become the big thing that fair-weather fans flcok to. I followed Austin since his days in Texas. I was a Jerichoholic when being one wasn't cool. I was impressed with RVD since his first ECW match and well before he became the cocky Mr. Monday Night. She's great, until she opens her mouth and lets her "nails on a chalkboard" voice loose (which is pretty much nonstop). And is it me, or did she get a boob job? And Kurt Angle beat Booker T clean! (Well, as clean as it gets these days.)

Boob job? I certainly hope not since her lack of surgical enhancements is what I find appealing about her. I will admit that she has been looking larger lately though. As for the WCW title, I like Kurt a lot, but he shouldn't have gotten Booker's belt. Heres how invasion works No one likes Stone Cold WCW still sucks and Always will suck ECW Still rules and always will. Booker T never deserved to be WCW champ. Kurt Angle should have held on to the title Kurt Angle, The Rock, Mickey Foley, Y2J, Edge and Christian, Tajiri, and The Brothers of Destruction should Lead the WWF.

WCW has the best wrestling of any of the companies and deserves to have its own show. ECW used to be okay but is dead and bankrupt now, and it never came close to touching WCW anyway. Booker T is the most deserving champion in the business right now and is way too talented to be mistreated like this by Vince. Angle should be WWF champion, not WCW champion. X-Puke sucks and shouldn't have one belt let alone two. Sugar Shane Helms should still be using that name and holding the WCW Cruiserweight belt. The Rock is so damn annoying, I was sick of him before he even made an actual return to TV. He needs to go away and star in a bunch of crappy movies that I won't watch. Mick is retired, so he won't be leading WWF to the snack bar let alone anywhere else (I wish they'd put him on as a color commentater if they're not going to get the King back). Angle, Jericho, and Tajiri are great. Tajiri needs to drop the comedy, and Kurt and Y2J need to do more comedy again. E + C are pretty good but aren't ready to headline or main event. Undertaker is over the hill and should retire and take his ugly wife with him.
