Answers:
1. First "Official Combat jump" in War on Terror was made by elements of the 3rd Bn/ 75th Ranger Regt in Afghanistan. A combat jump was also made by the 173rd Airborne Bde in Iraq.
2. "Most deployed unit" in US Army is the 7th Transportaion Group (Composite). "Most deployed combat unit" in US Army is the 82nd Airborne Division.
3. General Henry Shelton served as the Comanding General of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) during the Persion Gulf War in 1991.

#2. I actually should have been a lil more specific on this one. Paul you are definately right on the non-combat unit. (actually had to look that up) As for the most deployed Combat Unit. I was actually meaning in recent History (last 15yrs. Which to this, the answer is, The 10th Mountain Division. Since the Gulf War, elements of the 10th have been involved in every deployment that the U.S. has commited troops to, including; Somalia, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afganistan to name but a few.
#3. Gen. H. Shelton served has the Division Commander for the 101st Airborne Div. (Air Assault) during the Gulf War.
