Variety Show
Okay, considering that I'm here for Humanities and am not much of a stage/theater person, what are our options for the variety show? There's simply nothing I could do that's interesting, besides maybe math problems or volleyball, which I don't think anyone would enjoy. Is it optional or do I have to come up with something completely lame?
tell jokes, dance, show a talent that you have (like those crazy people who have really bendy bodies), get with someone and make up a skit, play an instrument. You can do ANYTHING. Thats the best part about the variety shows--seeing all the things people can do--even those non-theatre people!

And it is totally optional. In fact, there will no doubt be more people who want to be in them than can be accommodated. Groups acts will usually get a little more pull because they allow more people to be involved, though solos acts are also a welcome change-up.
And if you can be ready to go for the first show (July 17) you'll have a better chance of getting chosen. EVERYBODY wants to be in the second show (July 24).
I'll let the variety show committee comment more if they'd like - they are the ones who receive the applications and screen the acts and make the show happen.
