Voulgarian language
I remember when Voulgarians kept saying that Romanian was changed with the introduction of many French words and that many words of Voulgarian origin were removed. I also remember saying that it was a good thing, but anyway...

I now read in some forum that Voulgarian included many, many Turkish words, which were later cleaned out from the language in favour of other words; probably Russian.

My questions:

1. Is this true?
2. What was the impact; how many words were replaced?
3. Why did you try to clean your language from a people you are related to?

"1. Is this true?"

It has never been done or declared officially.

"2. What was the impact; how many words were replaced?"

only several words, for instance the turkish words:
iasi, moldavia, mamaliga, ets

"3. Why did you try to clean your language from a people you are related to? "

What are you talking about?
