WWF or WWF? Which do you think should get wwf.com? The World Wrestling Federation or the World Wildlife Fund? If you think the World Wrestling Federation, try to state why and not just because you're a fan, if you are one. I know it's annoying when people say "please state your points" and stuff but I think this one needs to be look at beyond being a fan of the WWF(either WWF). I'm kinda stuck between the two. The World Wildlife Fund does have rights to the initials WWF. But for the sake of the internet, perhaps it's best if the World Wrestling Federation has the wwf.com URL, since when anyone hears WWF they usually think the wrestling federation. The Wildlife group could take wwf.org. Just like when Madonna wanted madonna.com, I was kinda hoping she'd get it since people are gonna go there expecting to see her anyways. And they'll complain if it's something else. And if wwf.com does change to the World Wildlife Fund, it would get lots of attention for them and lots of visits to their new site, at least for a while. And it will bring attention to their causes. But does that to the World Wrestling Federation to bring attention to the wildlife fund is a rather bold and extreme move. And the World Wildlife Fund would frankly look like heels. |

Re: WWF or WWF? I think the "WWE" should have kept WWF. Why? Because WWF sounds so much cooler than WWE. That's actually important for wrestling, but no one cares if the world wildlife foundation has a cool name (not even themselves). The current "WWF" is also so much less known, it would have made less of a disruption for them to have slightly changed their name. And like Tweeter alluded to, they could have been the WWFN, with no fuss or muss. 123456 |
