Waiting...
Sita was sitting outside the den waiting for her alpha. Having taken leave for sometime, she had come back unsure of what she would find.
She howled to send out a call for her Alpha. It was long and sad at firt with yips and dips and high notes to say it was Sita the young pup returned as an adult.

The silver streaked male stepped lightly across the packlands, with his own smooth grace that he walked with. Silver eyes looked out as white fur blew in the soft breeze.
Ortesh's ears suddenly caught the sultry sound of a howl near to him. A voice he didn't recognize. He quickly made his way to the stranger and announced himself.
"My name is Ortesh," he said softly. "And who might this lady wolf be?" He was always such a charmer... He wasn't an arrogant wolf though, which had surprised many a wolf that had met him. Still, the nature to be cool seemed to be in his blood.

Deuce jumped as the howl cut through her dreams of Angel and her siblings. She rose, shaking the last vestiges of sleep from her mind, then began a slow, unsteady walk to where the how had come from. Arriving, she pinned her ears back against her skull in momentary confusion, then recognized the young adult that stood before her.
Sita.... Her voice was warm as she greeted the fey happily. "I'm so glad to see you!" She turned and greeted Ortesh happily as well, glad to see the wolves she took care of were still around. Though she wasn't a ruler, she was their leader. Ortesh, meet Sita, Sita this is my Delta, ortesh.
She circled Sita happily. You've grown up, she candidly remarked.

Sita gave a grin to Deuce. "Pups tend to do that you know."
"Nice to meet you Ortesh," she said politely.
"It is good to be back, I have missed my pack."
Sita cirled Duece back as a happy young wolf who has missed her friend.
"I am sorry for the long absense but it was needed. I wish I could have been here for you when oyou started up in this pack. My apologizes," she said with a lowering of her head.

Ortesh wagged his tail at Sita, bowing his head as Deuce appeared.
"It's always good to meet other members... " he said kindly. "I didn't know you when you left, but hopefully I'll get to know you now... you are staying, aren't you?"
He didn't want to pressure her, but he thought it would have been rather stupid to say such a thing if the girl was intending to leave... so he asked anyway.
He turned and looked at Deuce... it had been some time since he'd seen her last, and her pups as well. He wondered how they must have grown...

Re: Waiting...It's okay, love, i understand. The pale fey used the term love in the loosest way possible, not to inply a possible sexual link. there was none of that for Deuce anymore. No sex at all, really. The two remaining pups she had were a handful, and she didn't really need anymore pups on her hands.
I'm sure Sita intends to stay...why else would she be here now? Deuce replied with a grin. Though I have to reconfigure ranks now, she added with a mock stern look at the fey. She'd been planning on redoing ranks anyways.

Sita knew it was a joke, this mock sternness. But she played along and lowered her head only to pop back up with a silly grin.
"I do plan on staying if Deuce will let me," she looked at Deuce and there was a twinkle in her eyes.
"Though if I am so much trouble," she said in a mock tone, "I could always go to another pack." and she laughed, a bark and yip to show she didn't mean it. Where would she go, this was home.

Ortesh smiled, his tail wagging friendlily towards her. He didn't think there were many others in the pack, but he welcomed a new face eagerly, even if she really wasn't new at all.
"No, I don't think you'd like it here at all," he said, playing along with the game, using an obviously fake deep voice. His silver eyes gave it all away though as he looked at her before letting out a big puff of air he'd held in in an attempt to seem serious.
"I'm glad you're staying," he said after a moment. "I would rather enjoy the company of a new packmate." He looked over to Deuce. It had been the same way when he'd first met her... and he laughed now, thinking about it. "What a fool I am..." he thought, shaking his head to himself.
"Where are your pups, Deuce?" he said, just now thinking about this. "I haven't seen them for such a long time now... and wouldn't she like to see them?... I'm sure she probably would..."

At the mentio of the pups, Deuce lost some of her joy-de-vivre. "Angel...died a few weeks ago. Taken by the river. Liam and Gavin are around here somewhere...they wander so much, my boys do. She hated lying, but even she was slowly coming to believe her lie. Luckily she was the only one to know it was a lie. If she so much as breathed the truth, the pack would be after Azizi so fast...
And the male would kill the pup for sure. And Deuce wouldn't be able to handle that. She would eternally feel responsible.
She looked at her packmates silently, then looked away, a hard ball of sorrow building in her throat. She missed her little angel. there was no doubt that angel had been her pride and joy. Angel had been her mirror image, except with her daddy's eyes.

It took a while for Polgara to reach where the pack was talking, but still she hung back not wishing to intrude. So she sat on her haunches, waiting until the meeting was over. There was only one wolfess that Polgara did not know.
Polgara's curiousity would have to be sated another time. For now she was quite content to be away from it all.

Deuce nuzzled Sita back, wishing she didn't have to lie to her pack that way....but she couldn't risk getting angel killed. Glancing up, she saw Polgara sitting still a short distance away. She calmly nodded to the fey, wordlessly inviting her to join them.
Looking back at Sita, she smiled vaugly. "The boys are around somewhere, i'm sure. Up to no good, usually.

OOC: Sorry this is out of turn Forgive me????? And sorry for the short post too.
IC: Polgara had heard enough to know that this was to be a new pack mate. So she only thought it would be proper to formally introduce herself. "Hello one's name is Polgara,"Polagara said while showing the proper respect for the Alphess. All the while though Polgara was wondering what had happened to little Angel.

Hearing her reply, Ortesh was sorry that he had even asked. He hadn't meant to make Deuce sad by such news... He was sorry too that he hadn't been around the pups to notice right away that Angel was no longer there.
He turned to Polgara, who he'd met a while back at a hunt once. He was glad to still see her around. It seemed that she was the only packmember he'd met so far, and would have been quite down if she had left.
Turning back to the others, he tried to smile some. "I'm sorry for your loss," he said, feeling stupid that he had nothing more original to say.
"Why don't we leave here?" he asked. "Forget such morbid things, and go find something more cheery to entertain us... What say you?"

Deuce nodded, in agreement with Ortesh's words. Perhaps we could have a hunt. It's been a while since the pack has hunted together.
The last time there'd been a hunt of sorts was when the pups were still quite young. And now the mother was unsure of where her pups were, even. Even angel....she knew azizi had angel, but where? And was her silken feyling still alive?
