Current Guild Ranking (18th): Late Velious Era
An officer told AIF to take a rest for a while, after a solid week of dragon-slaying (hitting 3 of our RTA rotations in one week). Did the guild listen? Hell, no!! More raids, almost every night, with our EvD friends -- check it out!
Headline News
- Temple of Veeshan: EvD (Milow) sponsored an afternoon raid in the Halls of Testing, inviting AIF along for the fun. Any chance to go skewer dragons is a good time, so we were all over that. Many AIF and EvD landed some equipment upgrades, too! Probably the best accomplishment was the realization that while neither guild usually has enough members on during the "day time" hours to hold a raid, when our forces combine, we can do some exciting day time raids! Congratz all, glad it turned out great!
- Shawl Brawl for Melange! A small group of AIF and EvD teamed up to help Melange in the trek across Iceclad Ocean, for the Blessed Coldain Prayer Shawl. Congratz, Melange!
- Vindi Fall Down, Go Boom!: AiF, EvD and Dallow Abligo were goofing around with faction in Kael Arena, when who should drop in? None other than our favorite Vindicator! Another notch on the AiF Most Wanted Hit List!!
- Manaetic Behemoth, Round II: We took our second pass at the Manaetic Behemoth with EvD this week. Last week, we got him down to 78%; this week, after updating our strategy guides and making a few changes to our approach, we got him down to 14%. And while we didn't get the big guy down all the way, the 2nd round did allow us to make some adjustments to our strat guide -- next time, we get him for sure! After the recovery, we made another revenge strike against Xanamech. He went down hard, and this time we got the entire raid force successfully flagged for the PoI factory!
- Killing the Katta Twins: Sortilege led another Sunday Stroll through Katta Castellum, and once again we went after the Katta twins. We dropped both Nathyn Illuminous and Lcea Katta. This was our 3rd run at Nathyn, but the first time at Lcea. Shantar picked up the Dark Robe of Beguilement, and a glowing orb of Lucite (for Vex Thal key), and Omenmoon was awarded the Girdle of Magnificence.
- AiF Visits Greig's End: Sortilege led a raid into Greig's End, where we droped the Servitor of Luclin and the Praetorian Myral. Another Luclin zone with some great drops -- take a look at what we got: Tigran obtained his glowing orb of luclinite (for Vex Thal key), Sortilege obtained a Mask of Pulchritude, Derva has a new Lurid Dagger, Gondarionas gained a Scythe of Sundering, Sceaduwulf gained a Collector's Water Ring, Jiml (in absentia) won a Ring of Lunacy and Xumten won a Ring of Absurdity. We even had to leave Gauntlets of Dementia to rot behind! Good run, great loot!
- Nightmare Hedge Run On Saturday, AiF and EvD put together 3 groups for a stroll through the park -- the Nightmare Hedge event in Plane of Nightmares. From all accounts it was a fun time, and they succeeded without any difficulty. Great job, gang! Be sure to update your score on the Planar Progression tracking table!
