Aran sighed as he watched Alexia walk away from him. The conversation had been a trying one. THe truth had been neccesary but one always had to be carefull with Aes Sedai. Oh, he knew that they weren't all to blame for Eldire's death but he had a much harder time trusting any of them since the Red's had done what they did. Thay they were needed allies still rankled him at times. Still Alexia had never given any reason for distrust so he had told her the truth.
He walked the long path through the gardens and smiled as ahead he saw the figure of Niamh strolling towards him. He ha dknown she was close but not how close. She was alone an dhe smiled knowing his son was likely with some of the other children. He tried to remember th elast time he had been alone with Niamh and couldn't, there was it seemed work to be done untill she had gone to sleep. some day he would make it up to her. He quickened his pace smiling for the first time in weeks it seemed.
