Would any one rent a 28' narrowboat? Hi. I am considering buying a 28' springer narrowboat. I intend to live on it with my girlfriend untill approx. spring next year. At that time we want to go abroad for about a year to year and 6 months. The thing is we'd like to come home to it rather than a substatial London rent, so am basically planning on renting it out for that time. The snags are... it is small, basically a bedsit on water, so suitable for one... or two people used to small spaces. the head hight is 5'12". It has all the conveniences and will be self sufficient for electricity but it will be on a constant cruising basis cos thats what we'll be doing, and London mooring rates may as well be flat rent rates! (my bro's been moving his around within c. London and no prob.) My question is how do you stop your potential tennant driving off in it! And would any one be interested in rent ing it at something like 400 a month? |

Well, my son is considering buying one, but I have advised him to try surviving a winter on one. He wants to live on GU canal in North London, perhaps you should meet. Yes I would! Hi! i would very much like to rent your narrowboat. i am a small female (5'3, so height restrictions are less of a problem!), makeup artist by profession, originally from somerset now living in london and would revel in an opportunity to rent your boat! This would be a great opportunity as i'd like to buy one myself.
