about incense as a ritual
can incense be a ritual by itself or does it need a ritual to complete it?
I mean, if herbs are used depending on their correspondences, ex jasmine lavender rose lets say, would they need a ritual before you burn them, or does the simple act of intending while burning enough?
Love in will

Re: about incense as a ritual
In my opinon, intent is everything...with a lot of ritual or without. If you light a candle for healing or loving support....you do not NECESsarily do anything but FEEL....so in my opinon incense would be no different. NOW if you want more power added, i would suggest the all out a
ritual the better or focus and therefore the sttends to be. But for a simple basic spell, intent has a lot of pull

Re: about incense as a ritual
Hello Cara
insense is an offering to the Gods in the old ways... it is earth, air, fire...water all at once...I often light a stick to act as a votary or prayer much like one would a candle...
but as Gaia mentioned intent is everything... the will is what matters... be it oil, insense... or nothing at all
so my Coven leader once said. a good witch can do high magick dropped naked in the desert.. all the props are just tools to put us in the right frame of referance.. its easyer with the right " feng shui" of sight sound smell etc.. but havng all that right means nothing if the intent and will are not present....
the magic is always in the witch.. the tools are just a means to help her get there..
