 about my aunt connie
hey guys.
l know the board's been a little slow lately, but l was just talking to my aunt, and l found out something tha'ts a lil scarry. a couple years ago she was in an accident, and really bunged up her knee (badly.)anwyay, she's been having a lot of pain from it, and l guess the only option right now is an epidural to block the nerves.. ten of them, to be exact.
l guess the reason l'm posting this is cus they're going to be really hard on her - once a week for ten weeks - and l think it'd be nice if we could send her some energy... she's been through a lot, and doesn't deserve to suffer like that.

Of course,love.Be glad to send all the energy I can.For what it's worth, I know a few people who have had this sort of procedure done,and it usually does bring a lot of relief.The thing she's going to need to remember is, even though after the epidural, she's going to feel much better, she still has damage to the knee.She has to take it easy.She shouldn't be walking a lot,or doing anything strenuous until the damage has a good chance to heal.
Most everyone with any type of chronic pain knows this one well.She's going to be tempted to do things she hasn't been able to do because of the pain.But if she does,she risks doing irreparable damage,in the long run.Then she'll be stuck with more meds,more procedures,and possibly surgery.
Hang in there,I'm sure she'll be fine.

oi... hey, guys.
thanx a lot for all the support. l know she's gonna be touched when she sees this - she told me the post l made brought tears to her eyes, lol... anyway, l'm pretty sure (lol, she actually belongs to a pain forum somewhere on the net, so she' knows a lot a people in her situation,a nd probably yours (or something like it), shadeaux... thank you so much, guys.... all of you. l really appreciate this, cus until the last year or so, aunt connie and l didn't get a long at all, and.. now we are, and yeah. tha dont' make sense, but anyway.
