boat conversions and boat import
My boyfriend and myself are thinking of bying a fishing or passenger vessel to convert to a live aboard. We are both novises to boat living and boats in general. We are hoping to buy the boat in Europe or Scandinavia and then transport it over to England, have the work done and then transport it to London where we are hoping to live.
What I would like to know is this
1) Does this like very complicated and costly idea? Would it be cheaper to buy the boat in Brittain generally?
2) How much does a conversion cost if it is done by proffessionals?
3) What is the cost of having your boat in a dry dock?
4) Do you have to pay tax or any other cost when you import a boat
I would really appreciate some sound advice on all this as this has been a long lived dream of mine.
