eyes wide, curtains drawn, help
Approximately (looks at watch) 27 hours ago I got hit with the acting bug, and I just have one thing to say....
"Oh God! Why me?"
LOL
I've always wanted to be a writer and now everything has changed. Still, I'm creative, easy to work with, and was probably meant to be an actress after all. Think I'm joking? Just a lttle embarrassing example to set things off.
When I was 5 my great uncle, who I barely knew died, and I was told I had to go to the funeral. I say to my mom in a very soap operish voice, "No.. no I don't believe you. he's not dead, he's just not." My mother looks back at me for a second, a little confused of course then says... "Oh, Katie just knock it off."
Anyway, i have little to no experience beyond a couple of monologues I had to perform in 8th grade drama, a short lifetime of making and acting out my own stories alone on the playground, several very unorgainized skits with my sisters, running around the house acting out scenes from Les Miserables and the Buffy Musical, and every Halloween (which is btw my favorite holiday) since birth.
I'm already 16 years old. I'm female, brunette, cute like if Johnny and Winonna had a kid, and since I am wondering around completely in the dark and completely without funds I was just wondering... any tips?
I would think that like anything else, acting involves talent and is an endeaver which must be learned through hard work...if it was easy I too would be an actor earning $20mil per movie with a beautiful woman on each arm. Instead, I just calculate stuff...not quite as glamorous.
----- Other than THAT, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
