Bad News
I know there are some of you who would appreciate knowing this. Raphayl has was gone for about a week when I sent her an email, this was the reply:
Dear Damien:
I have been put in charge of trying to contact all of Rap's acquaintances over the past few days, but I don't know them all. I've been monitoring her email to catch more as they try to contact her.
I regret that I must be the bearer of bad news. Some time before 7:00am Friday morning, May 21, Raphayl lost control of her car on Hiway 9 near the I-35. The car came to rest upside down in the drainage ditch to the south of the road. The coroner said she was unconscious when she drowned.
Closed-casket funeral services were held last Thursday, May 27th, and she was buried in the Resthaven Cemetary on 104th.
I don't know how well you knew my sister, so I don't know how this will impact you. If she was a close friend, cards and flowers can be sent to:
The Blackwood Family
9501 S. I-35 Service Road # 1108
Moore, Ok 73160
Prayers for the family are always welcome. Raphayl is survived by her 6-year-old son, William.
If you know of any of her friends that have not been informed, please help me to let them know.
