There is a difference between a varying POV and an insult.
Lets play a game Sar, and I'll use the issue of Kosovo as the example. You will tell me which is an insult and which is a different POV.
a) 'Kosovo indepandance is the only and correct choice, Albanians make up the vast majority of the population and therefore should be able to choose their own destiny'
and
b) 'Kosovo indepandance is the only and correct choice, Albanians make up the vast majority of the population and therefore should be able to choose their own destiny. Serbs who think Kosovo is the heart of Serbia are gutless, fascist morons - I spit on them!'
Re: ....
In other more lighter news, the good folk at Clubparada have began to organise a 'plan of action', read as follows,
Quote:Hey guys
actually just got off the phone with one of the committee members and a meeting occured last night....a plan of attack is being formalised from media through to legals....all will be revealed shortly..
....what we are going to do as well as those who would like to donate lump sums (up to you)...we suggested to the committee to set up direct debit forms and accounts for us to hand out amongst friends etc...so to take out $10 per week and the target is MAGIC 1000 people...im sure i myself could sign up 50 or so mates who will agree to it and the best part about it is you wont even feel it.........
so recapping 1000 people around Australia to sign up for $10 per week = $10000 per week...if we get more so be it...but 1000 is a minimum target and you can cancel at anytime you like if its hurting you financially.
Kind regards and stay tuned for details....the committee is just in the process of setting it up and we you will be able to download forms here on CP and other sites fill them in and fax to a number supplied....its easy as 123...$10 these days = 1 good drink, half a packet of smokes etc etc...its all about power in numbers....in the past people give large amounts and most are tired of it...this way we can all do our part and the only effort we need to put in is encouraging more people to sign up...
cheers
Stay tuned !
And here's the 'Save our Dragan' donation table in Chicago
Re: Serbs put up $500,000 to save Dragan
I know what it means, but he lives back home, I think that gives him special rights with certain things. We are both diaspora Serbs and it is easy to talk a big game when you are not on the front lines.

Excuse me? Are you purposely trying to piss me off?
The frontline isnt in Serbia. This has nothing to do with Serbia. The frontline is in Australia. In Sydney. In the magistrate Court where a man's life is being decided. The frontline is in the Parklea Correctional Facility where Kapetan Dragan has been detained for the past 12 months without charge.
The only other person who shares Kadonoja's views here is 'Knin95' - pretty self explanatory.
End of discussion.
editted - Also, Dragans livelihood plays NO impact on Serbian life or politics IN SERBIA. There is no outcry from the rest of Europe for his arrest. None whatsoever. No threats of sanctions or postponement of EU entry.
The indictment is a TOOL for Zagreb hoping to send Dragan to jail before he can testify AGAINST Gotovina in the Hague.
Very dirty tactic, and you seem to have fallen for it.
Re: Serbs put up $500,000 to save Dragan
That's not the point, nor the end of the discussion.
The point is, diaspora Serbs have it MUCH easier than Serbs in Serbia.
His reaction was one that is NOT uncommon amongst our own. Furthermore, you don't have to convince me of the situation in Australia, I am well aware of it and I have already stated that I disagree with him but that is NOT what this is about.
It's about him having the right to state that opinion.

Re: Serbs put up $500,000 to save Dragan
Bob, you know how Serbs usually express themselves? If you were to hold someone to the literal meaning of what they say it would be problematic to say the least:
iskenjam se u usta svima sto su donirali really means ne podrzavam svrhu gde se prinosi novac
It's like that chain letter "kako se kaze u svijetu; kako se kaze u Bosni" that made the rounds a while back:
1. Dragi kolega dugo se nismo vidjeli
1. Dje si pizda ti materina
2. Izvini ali malo sam te duze cekao
2. Dje si, jebote
3. Gospodin je veoma obrazovan
3. On je peder
4. Mislim da niste dobro sagledali sve aspekte ugovora
4. Jebem te corava
5. Mora da se salis
5. Seres
6. Ne, nikako niste u pravu
6. Pusi kurac
7. Informacija koju imate ne odgovara cinjenicnom stanju
7. Jedes govna
8. Vasa sekretarica je veoma simpaticna
8. Jel, jebes ti to?
9. Prijatno
9. Disi malo
10. Koju funkciju gospodin ima u firmi
10. Koji je on kurac
11. Smatram da njegovo misljenje ne treba uvaziti
11. Ko njega jebe
12. Ovaj projekat je lako ostvarljiv
12. To je pickin dim
Re: Serbs put up $500,000 to save Dragan
Right right, you know everything man.
Just to clear things up then, when I said 'jebo ti ustasa majku mrtvu' I didnt mean it literally. What I was actually trying to say is, "sta ti je bolan, kako mozes tako da pricas...sram te bilo"
Re: Serbs put up $500,000 to save Dragan
------edit-------
Ne znam kako je u toj vukojebini odakle si emigrirao bilo, ali kod nas za psovanje majke mozes gadno da najebes. Samo sto ovde ljudi imaju muda da stanu iza svojih reci.
