Some Slavic History
Until 5th century AD, the Slavs inhabited an isolated area of today’s South-Eastern Poland, Western Belarus, and Western Ukraine. The Slavs have never been approached and devastated by Romans. The Slavs had a primitive society. They didn’t know how to build houses and still all Slavic languages don’t have Slavic word for “house”. The Slavic word “dom” means “the place I live in”. Modern Bulgarian and its Macedonian dialect use the Proto-Bulgarian word “K’shta” - “house”. The Slavs considered the horse as an exotic animal. They had no economy. Their knowledge on metallurgy and agriculture were very basic.
Because the Slavs practiced polygamy and they were away from any wars, at the end of 4th century the Slavic population increases and resulted in demographic boom. The Slavs spread over large part of Europe and easily settled on weakly contested territories. In long term, the Slavic settlement on the Balkans wasn’t a big concern for the Byzantium Empire. The Romans knew how to assimilate (see what happened to Dakians, Iberians, and Celts etc). The appearance of Proto-Bulgarians with their mighty army and long experience in how-to-build-a-state actually saved Balkan Slavs from Byzantium assimilation. A large part of the Balkan Slavs together with Romanized Thracians were easily incorporated into Bulgarian State and they became Bulgarians. The existing at that time common Slavic language was promoted by the Proto-Bulgarian ruling elite to become the base for Church Slavonic language (The official language of Danube Bulgaria).
The History has proved that the Slavs had difficulty in establishment of their own states. The best example is Russia. In 822 the Slavic chiefs from region of Novgorod invited the Germanic tribe Russ and their chief Rurik to come and rule them. This way Russland was founded. It didn’t take too long for the Swedish Russ to make Russia a powerful state. Rurik dynasty ruled Russia for 700 years.

That article is an extremely biased perspective which was obviously written by someone who hates slavic people. Slavic people were no more "primitive" and no more advanced than other nomadic people. You obviously can't compare Slavs to the Romans, because the Roman empire was established hundreds of years earlier so they had much time to develop. Slavs were unable to establish much of a culture because they were almost always at war with someone. When the Russians finally established Russia and a good military presence there, they created a very rich culture which spread to other parts of Europe as well.

By arkans predicitons that would mean that I am originally something in between a greek and an Albanian. First of all greek side came from Peloponesis, so that would make them Peloponisians (not greek) and the from the other side they where Illirian Tribe (Delmati) not Albanian.
We even have our own language (Vegliot Lingua), which is based on Vulgar Latin, we have our own flag and our culture.
But you see I don't give a @#%$ about that. You can go on bullshiting how Dalmatia is originally serbian, croatian, bosnian or even Albanian for all care. Its not gonna make any difference will it!!

Sorry Lazareti, but as soon as the Americans @#%$ of we are taking Dalmacia back it is OURS. The Cros @#%$ themselves, and @#%$ of from the area when it came time of war, and we Srbs were the only ones protecting it, yeah if the cros came that would mean sharing, but because the @#%$ bricks and fled its not theirs. Our people have lived there before the 4th century, so they cros can go and get @#%$. And you right about Krajna, the fuken greedy scum politicians.

Serbia these days is far a way on the edges of the Balkans.
you have to go through bosnia in order to get your troops inot north Dalmatia (probable sparking another civil war).

Another civil war in the long Balkans cycle is inevitable. Prognosis say that this time it's most likely to be Croats vs. Muslim in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Thank God now they won't be able to blame the Serbs again. After they are done, Serbs will easily take over the rubble that will be Muslim-Croat Federation. Don't worry about Serb military ability, 30.000 Krajina troops kept the numerically superior Croatians (I'm not sure, but their troups numbered around 140.000) at bay for 3 years with no help from no one.
Ne sikiraj se ti za Sjevernu Dalmaciju, to je vazda Srpsko bilo i opet ce ako bude srece. Nego reci ti meni, jesi li ti mozda Bodul? I ako nisi sta si onda?

That's funny, I've been living in the US all my life and all my friends/coworkers/etc know I'm Serbian and I've never seen any indication that they don't like me. Aside from Albanians and a minority of Croats, no one on earth hates us, and rightly so they have no reason to. On the other hand, Albanians have problems with every single one of their neighbors.
