Re: Shamanism - a different twist
I am sorry you feel as if you have to be quiet.
It is my understanding that a short article is just an overview of it's subject, and certainly cannot contain every detail.
Since you feel the article falls short, that would be something to take up with the author.

Yeah, what she said!,And as for the sarcasm, ask anyone here,I'm a sarcastic twit most of the time.that's why my sister still calls me "the Brat".
And seriously,in an overview type interview,it isn't unusual for the subject to give a very brief summary of what they do,without going into extreme detail,as some publications have limits on how many words can be used.It would take pages to go into the type of detail necessary to learn how the web of connection used in Shamanism works, particularly in an urban setting. Not to mention that maybe he did submit more information, but it was editted for brevity.
I was asked to do a newspaper interview once,in which I was asked 6 questions, and gave what I thought were brief answers. In the process of trying to edit my answers to make the article as short as possible, the reporter made it seem as if I had said things I didnt say,and what I did say was used out of context.I was explaining myself to a lot of people for weeks over that.

Re: Shamanism - a different twist
I would like to direct the parties of this thread to the rules, in which it is specifically stated no way is right nor wrong, merely different. Arguing sementics is pointless...you say tomato i say juicy little red treat...who the hell cares? Connecting with nature nad give and take is a personal experiance, it is a personal SPIRITUAL experiance and is therefore impossible to explain fully in neither word nor print. Debating for the cause of education is encouraged that we may better undrstand eachothers paths, arguing for the sake of arguing is strongly discouraged.
