I agree it boils down to picking the lesser of 2 evils . But it is still a gooberment for big business no matter who is in office !

flaming on fact wolf dear is not a bannable offense so long as its done tactfully lol Im more concerned with how members feel rather then the govt.

My personal two cents is the goverment has wayyyyyyy too much to say about my personal choices.. they are trying to do the impossible which is regualte common sense...
I mean most such laws are what a reasonable person does for their own saftey.. for example the law that says they have to say caution beverge may be hot. .... Hello !!!! its coffee.. its supossed to hot, but becuase too many dimwits have burned themselves with hot coffee because they stuck it between their legs while driving or some such stupdity we know have law that says they have to be warned..
PLeaSe spare me... most of such laws are just this way trying to take away personal resposiblity.. like the warning labels on booze or cigs.. anyone who wants to know can find out all they want to know about the efffects and possible helath risks of either one... so warning labels are for the delibrately ingrorant.. who cant be bothtered to make an informed choice... and to protect the seller from stupid lawsuits like the lady who sued jack danidels for her liver problems hello ya drink a 5th a day you are gonna have liver problems.. !!!
or the dimwit who gave herself a stoke by taking 100 times the recomdened amount of ginko a day.. and was trying to get it outlawed by sueing the company she bought it from.......when if she had any brains and studyed the herb, she would have know what ginko does and how it does it and known that takeing that much was risking a storke..
its all the same thing.. laws to protect the ignorant..who dont bother to become informed.. and I for one resent being treated like Im an idiot.. but the people who put their hand in a shedder blame the maker of the shedder not themselves who are dumb enough to do such a thing.... so we have the hew and cry of more law
People seem to want the goverment to protect them from their own stupity
now for a lot of things this is needful and correct.. espsicaly new things.. that there is little info about.. but the laws are overkill and getting worse.... to where they are regulateing things that have jack to do with saftely but more about morality like the sex toys issues.. thats just plain nuts. pardon the pun.. as its none of their biz what goes on in a consenting adults bedroom...
or the atempt to ban smoking in your own apt ( which they are trying to get here in CA) becuase of some notion that cig smoke is getting into other apts.. which is just plain stupity.. but pepole who dont smoke seem to have it in there heads that it will come and find them and do them injury and the law makers are playing on it.. now the only reaons apt landloards want it is simple a smolker does staing the celing with cig smoke and the room will smell of it.. but it has jack to do with anyones helath
but we the people by demanding these other " safe " laws have opened the door to this kind of Bs and short of pulling them up by the short hairs and saying enough is enough it will continue..
