getting used to not fighting
oc: allooooooo where iz everybody?

ic:

Cairo sat at the edge of the den, watching the world around him change from dawn into a golden morning. Absolutly perfect for play, if of course, his sister was willing to play with him. The young fea seemed more interested in the other members of the 'pack' that they'd stumbled into, leaving the young male to himself. But so far, the only adults that were up had already gone off somewhere. Grinning, Cairo made his way back to his mother, and nuzzled at the ball of fluff sleeping at her side.
"Asia... Wake up Asia, we can play now, the sun is out."

As soon as the word play had left his lips, the young female had been awake. And ready to pounce, which she promtly did. Colliding with her brother, Asia let ou a happy little growl, and stood on top of him, barking with a little grin.
"I'm on top! I win I win"

Idrian, still covered in blood from the rabbit he'd not long ago killed, overheard the commotion of the pups inside the den. The mask-faced male turned, the rabbit still in his jaws to see the two pups. He smiled in spite of the prey in his mouth.

"And a good morning to you." He said after placing the rabbit on the ground. "Good to see you're getting along well here."

Cairo and Asia's faces both looked up at the bloodie ale, and yipped a hello. stubling over eachother to stand in front of him on their hind legs, nippig his lower jaw. Neither of them were unnerved by the blood, they'd seen it nearly on the hour back 'home'.

Cairo sat down and started sniffing at the rabit. He wasnt hungry, but it lookd like it'd be fun, and messy, to play with.

The older wolf chuckled merrily at their antics. He lowered his muzzle to them-old memories were back and dancing in his mind. He saw Cairo picking at the rabbit, and grinned. "If you two are hungry, have at it. But if not..."

He grabbed the hind legs in his mouth, but did not hoist the rabbit up again, he dragged it a bit, his forelegs down in a playbow, all a lovely invitation to the two cubs to a tug of war.

Re: getting used to not fighting
Asia blinked a bit, finding it rather odd for one of the adults to be acting like a puppy, and then tiltd her head and lets out a little howl. Springing to her feet, she tumbled over Cairo and snatched up a legs in her mouth. Growling excitedly, she attempted to back up with the prize.

Cairo was no less estatic to play, but also thought about eating at least an ear. Letting out a yelp as Asia ran into him, Cairo nipped at her tail and rolled over to follow her, grabbing onto the underside of the rabbits neck, and begain pulling.

back inside, London was laying on her side, still half asleep, watching her pups. They hadnt been able to play like this for a long while. For that matter, neither had she. The thin, scar covered fae smiled, and rolled onto her back for a good scratch, then flipped up and walked outside. even in the dull sunlight, one could see the still fading red that covered her coat. and it was hard to miss the ring of furless skin, pale and deathly white, shappingo ut an ever-present collor on her neck.

Idrian growled playfully, barely tugging on the rabbit so the pups could win, of course, and believe it so by their might. There was a happy light in his good eye, and his tail waved lazily behind him.

He let the pups have one last strong tug before he released the rabbit to them. He could find another later. They were enjoying it too much. He turned, concerned, at the tiredness showing in the mother. Perhaps it was his old alpha spirit coming back to him, but the aged wolf stepped out beside her.

"Are you feeling well?"

London smiled at the elder male and dipped her head slightly. Streching out her forpaws and then sitting down.

"I'm fine, just catching up on sleep now that we dont have to run. You didnt have to give them that rabbit you know, Cairo might eat some, but Asia wont, yet."

She shhok her head, a smerk flirting with her lips, she nudged the male and started towards her cubs.

"Lets show them how to really play at this."

When she reachedd them, she snatched up the carcass in her mouth and, after the two let go, flipped it into the air, yipping, then crouched low, readying to catch it.

He grinned and followed, tail already wagging at the prospect of a good game. He waited, tensed to bound skyward as London tossed the rabbit. He cast a quick glance at the pups to see their reactions.

"Ready?" he asked, ears slightly back...he felt he had to be streamlined as much as possible-at least instinctively - otherwise this was all just good fun.

Cairo growled lightly, he'd wanted to play with his sister, but now, he got to play with two adults. A smerk was playing with his face, making his nose twitch, crouching low, hwe waited for the rabbit to get lower. He knew he wouldnt catch it, his mother and the male were lager yet then he was, though that wouldnt last long.

Asia yipped happily and started jumpung, making a game out of half flips. She didnt care so much about the rabbit, just that her mother was up and playing.

London watched her pups for the split second befor the rabbit arched, and knew that cairo would at least become a good hunter for the pacl that had let them in. When the rabbit started to dropped, her haunches started to shake, she bunched her legs up, and waited a second, then jumped straight up at the rabbit, noticing that Asia and airo had as well.

Idrian was a second slower than London and her pups-his reflexes aged as well as he, but the game was still fun-his teeth clamped against the rabbit's leg, though mostly simply bone and fur, though he didn't mind.

He growled playfully-he felt the tug of at least one other wolf on the other side of the rabbit, and he imagined it was at least two others-probably three if Asia had joined in.

(btw, congrats!)

((Hope you don't mind if I jump in?))

Raven popped up out of no where. After the death of a pack member she had left. To mourn the death of family and to find herself as a wolf who had to learn new skills.

Brining in a hare she'd caught she was surprised to find a wolf and pups she didn't know.

Idrian turned, his tail giving a slight wave, "Hello again," he said, "Looks like we've both been out wreaking havoc on the hares...though yours looks bigger than mine..." he said with a mumble...then he noticed that it really did...as his hare was now in pieces at the paws of the pups.

He stretched and sat back on his haunches, watching the pups with a gleeful expression. "I miss being that young."

She smiled and gave a shrug. Wonering if the pups were his and feeling something strange if they were. 'How odd, to feel this way. Perhaps I hear my own wishful thinking for pups.' she passed it off and gave a wolfie grin.

"I do try," and nosed it closer, "Guess lots of things happen when one is away. Are they yours?" she looked at the pups and then back to her old friend.

He shook his head, "No! No, great spirits, no..." he said. "I haven't had such a family in...in many many seasons, Raven..." he replied, standing and turning to leave the pups and the mother in peace.

"Enjoy the hare..." he looked at Raven as though he was curious...

There was an odd feeling of releif when she discovered they weren't his.

She nosed the hare closer to him, "There is enough to share. Hunting was good while I was away."

"I had some things that needed my attention, though unpleasant as they were...I had hope of seeing some of the pack when I returned."

She looked up at him trying to make clear what she could not admit out loud.

"really?" he asked, looking hard at her. "Raven...what do you mean?" He gave her muzzle a nudge. "Come now, can you not trust me well enough to tell me what's going through your mind?"

He waited, patient as ever, a light in his eye. He wanted to know what she was thinking-but he didn't want to assume...

"I trust you, of course I do,. I would hope you knew that already."

A light sigh and she looked down unable to share her feelings.

"Less is what is on my mind and more of what is in my heart."

He cocked his head to the side, curiously, "Oh?" he said. "Really...?" he didn't know how to respond, otherwise. But he looked something like a big, silly puppy with his head sideways and one ear sort of dropping over for no reason particularly.

"Tell me, then..." he said softly still. "Please...? If it is a burden I cannot have you carrying it alone, I care for you too much."

It was her turn to look confussed. She didn't know what to say so she looked down and off into the distance.

When he said he cared about her it threw her of guard. She looked up and touched her nose to his and then backed up not sure what to say.
