WTNIF Petition
A petition has been posted for everyone who would like to see WTNIF put on video and sold. Please sign it asap, so that we can get as many signatures as we can as quickly as we can.
Also, would someone be willing to post the link on Haven and any other site you can think of? I'll post it on GaUk right now. Thanks!

Re: WTNIF Petition
Could someone post this on Haven for me? Every time I try to post there, it won't let me. The site has me registered, but won't let me post.
The Prouction company does not have rights!
The play is the copywrite of Michael Weller not the production company that produced it. Writing the production company will NOT accomplish anything. There are no finalized plans to take this to New York yet although there has been rumors that it may at some point with or without Gillian. I seriously don't think any writer will extend permission to video a play that may be taken to other venues. In fact, I have never heard of that being done with any play except the Nutcracker and the London and NY Ballet companies. Suggest you all give this some thought as the production company will not be interested in this after the next two weeks. They have rights to this run only. Fan stuff although done with good intent just brings more headaches for those currently doing the play. Your thoughts are understandable here but the application can bear no result.
If it makes you feel better, knowing that you've done everything you can to see that the TPTB know that you want to see WTNIF on DVD, I'd say go for it. It may not make it happen, but at least you will be able to say that you tried.

The company can do nothing! If this is very important to you why don't you contact the Ambassador Company directly and seek out information regarding this issue. What is above is not negative, but truth. Maybe they can advise you of a valid approach that may get you somewhere.

Re: petition
May I say that it's the thought that counts no matter the outcome. It's nice to have your opinion heard once in a while by who ever will listen.
Re: WTNIF Petition
I'm sure that the people who organized the petition will get it into the right hands. Copies can be sent to all the people involved in the writing and production of the play.
A tape of the play may already exist. It's common practice to film dress rehearsals .
There are several films of Broadway plays that have found their way to tape and TV. This practice goes all the way back to the 1960's. Tapes of "My Fair Lady" and "Becket" were shown on network and public television channels.
Re: WTNIF Petition
I'm sorry, but this has to be said. Stop it RLS! ok, so in all likelyhood this won't do any good, but it makes us feel better. do you have to be such a buzz kill the whole time? just because you've seen the play like a zillion times doesn't mean that you're any better than the rest of us. and it could do some good, the company will know who to send it to, and might be touched enough by it to send it to those in power. You really need to think of the impact of your words before you say (well type!) them. leave us with our petition.
