floods and storms and how much a person can take
We were getting ready to go to bed,and ralph got up and started to go into the kitchen last night.Before he stepped into the kitchen,he yelled out,"WHAT THE FUCK?"
There was a small river,about an inch deep,FLOWING through the kitchen.
It had been storming,for about an hour,and we had been listening to the thunder.We knew we would probably have a few wet spots on the carpet in the morning,but nothing like what happened next.
I walked into the kitchen,and water was pouring through the wall, from where the pantry wall meets the floor.Then,going back into the living room,the carpet was already SOAKED,a good 4 feet away from the wall on 3 sides of the living room,and beginning to come through another wall,where the hallway is.My oriental rugs are soaked,and we had to use almost all of our sheets,and blankets to sop up the mess, to keep the water from flowing into our bedroom.
I havent felt well all weekend,so I hadn't done laundry,and felt bad about it.I dont feel bad now,we were able to use the dirty laundry to sop up a lot of the water,as well.
When we called the landlords house,his wife answered,and had the nerve to ask why we didnt call her sooner.WELL,DUH!!! We were trying to save our stuff,dipstick!Our stereo speakers were sitting right in where it started coming in,too.
Our landlord did just bring us a wet/dry vac,to try and vacuum up as much as we could.He also told us to use some of the rent money to get whatever we need to keep down mold,and stuff.
This is so frustrating,though,and we have like two more major storms coming this week.We dont have the money to move anywhere else.We're so sick of having to deal with this kind of crap.Lousy housing,lousy landlords,lousy jobs,with lousy pay.And not a damned thing we can really do about it.It seems like for every step forward we get,we get knocked back two.

I know sweety,but we just can't pack up and move in with a family we don't know.I've met Randy's parents once.Ralph doesn't know them from jump.Think about the first time he gets frustrated with Raichelle and says"God Damn it,Raichelle!" in front of Tish.None of us need that.We don't need the shit we're going through now,either,but,there has to be something else we can do.Maybe my SSI will come through soon(I hope).
One thing that probably wasn't much of a help was,I found my last prosperity spell,drenched.A good friend of mine,from New Mexico,gave us the directions for this prosperity spell years ago.It is supposed to be renewed ever so often.I renew it about every six months.This one sits on a shelf in my bedroom.Not long ago,we noticed we had condensation dripping from the vents in the house,mostly in the kitchen.I never thought to check the vents in the bedroom.But a few days ago,I walked in the bedroom,and happened to look up,and my prosperity spell (which is in a glass bowl)was sitting under about two inches of water.That can't be a good sign.I guess it's time to do another one,huh?
Ralph needs a real job,I need my SSI to come through,and we need a better life.
