Re: To be Immortal
Chapter 14

Alayvia and Legolas took their place next to the King. Legolas at his left hand and Alayvia to Legolas' left. Nuinethia sat next to Alayvia and Nemin next to her. Michelle and Leelia sat across from Legolas and Alayvia and Luninella and Mehier next to them. They had a wonderful meal of a variety of food including meat, fruits, breads, and cheeses. After a full afternoon and evening of celebrating, dancing, and drinking the gathering of people were ready to retire.
In one of the last dances, Nemin asked to cut in and dance with Alayvia. Legolas agreed and went to get his drink from his seat.
"My dearest Alayvia." His breathe was warm and unwelcome on her neck. "You both got what you wanted. But it will not last. He will find out and leave you. This I promise to you. Even if I have to make it happen myself." The song ended and Nemin left Alayvia with a look that made her blood run cold.
The next song was the last one and she found comfort in Legolas' arms. There was something in that last look of Nemin's that seemed so familiar. Not the one of lust he had a few days ago, but another full of mystery for her. The couple left for their chambers to many "Good evenings" and smiles.
When the couple got their new room, Alayvia noticed that it was much larger and more decorated than her own. Still, it was simple and secure. There was a large bed, a table, 2 closets with a vanity between them, and a fireplace with a couch and a few chairs around it.
Alayvia dismissed her self to the bathroom but Legolas put his arms around her waist. "Why?"
"I would like to be able to take hair down." She turned her head and gave him a flirty grin. She grabbed the brush off the vanity and stepped in to the bathroom. There was another vanity inside the bathroom were she sat down and began the tedious process of taking everything out of her hair.

In the bedroom Legolas changed out of his formal clothes and into a night shirt. He used the pitcher of water on the vanity to wash his face. After what seemed like quite some time, Alayvia came out from the bathroom. She had taken off her dress and was also wearing night clothes and a bathrobe. She walked out and sat on the edge of the bed.
Legolas knelt before her. "What is wrong melamin?"
"My father could not be here."
"Why?"
"He was killed."
"I'm so sorry." He sat next to her and put his arm around her. But something was not right. There was a tear on her cheek. Elves can't cry. "Love, what are you not telling me?"
It was at this moment Alayvia realized the tear on her cheek. "Legolas I…" At this point Alayvia let her tears flow freely. All she did was tuck her hair behind her ear.
"Your human aren't you?" Alayvia told him the whole story, from when her father was killed, to how she got here, and then to her having immortality.
Everything except what Nemin had tried to do.
"It all just happened at once you know?" Alayvia laid down and Legolas laid down behind her. He put arm over her and they both fell asleep.

Hehehehehe... So, what happens now that Legolas knows? We shall see, won't we? :evil

Re: To be Immortal
Ok, from this point on, ther will be a lot more elvish used in this story. I like it, and it just works really well. :) The translations will be in <>.

Chapter 15

The next morning when the two awoke, they decided to head to the archery targets.
"Doesn't this reminded you of the first time we went to the archery targets?" Alayvia said and then took a bite out of the piece of fruit in her hand.
Legolas laughed. "It was the only time." He also took a bit from his fruit.
Alayvia swallowed and then continued. "Yes, but it seems so long ago."
"Yeah. It does." The two finished eating as they reached the targets.
After the two had shot a few arrows, it became clear that Alayvia was just as good as Legolas. The shooting continued for a few hours, neither claiming victory.
"Lle naa curucuar,<you are a skillfull bowman> Legolas"
"You're the only person that is a good a shot as me!" Legolas said with a laugh. "So I trust you could make this shot."
"And what shot would that be?"
Legolas wrinkled his nose in thought. "I will tell you when I think of one."
Alayvia could not resist the urge to laugh at Legolas' allegation. "I shall be waiting for that day!"
"Seems that last night has slipped your mind, melamin <my love>."
"Oio naa elealla alasse, <ever is thy sight a joy> for it chased them away."
        "A! <Ah!>"
"Legolas!" A voice was coming from the path behind them.
"Atar. <Father> Mani naa ta? <What is it?>"
"A message is here from the Shire." Thranduil handed the massage to his son. "Hurry so we can tell the messenger before he leaves."

Dear Legolas,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I, Samwise Gamgee, request your presence at Bywater in the Shire for the wedding of myself to Rosie Cotton on May 1, 1420, Shire reckoning. I am also inviting the other members of the Fellowship to attend. I do hope you can come.
                                                                Samwise Gamgee

"Sam! Where was your head? It is already June. I wonder when we sent this out. Perhaps I shall visit him eh?"
"Yes, I agree. You should take your wife too."
"But of course, atar. Alayvia, would you like to ride to the Shire?"
"I would love too" Legolas turned the messenger away without a message.
"I think we shall surprise that Sam. Sending out the invitations late and all. Tenna' tul're atar. <until tomorrow father>" The two gathered up their gear and went back to their room to pack.

When they were about done, there was a knock on the door. "Come in."
        "Legolas?"
        "Yes, Nemin?"
        "You have visitors."
        "Alright. Where are they?"
        "In your father's study."
"Thank you. We will be there shortly. Come melamin, we shall go and meet them." Legolas grabbed Alayvia's hand and the two stepped out of their room and went down the hall a few doors. Legolas swung the door open and a grin spread quickly across his face. He dropped Alayvia's hand and ran to his guests.

Re: To be Immortal
I get my Elvish at www.grey-company.org/Circle/language/phrase.htm. This is actually a funny chapter, but I think the story needs it.

Chapter 16

"Aragorn! Nae saian luune'! <It has been too long!>" He hugged him and turned to the person next to him. "And my Lady Elawen." He took her hand and kissed it as was custom.
"Pardon me for interrupting, but who is the lady standing in the doorway."
"Ah, she, my friend," he said walking to the door, "Is Alayvia, my wife. Alayvia this is Aragorn and his wife Elawen." he said taking her hand and leading her down to them.
        "My lord." claimed Alayvia.
"Do stand, for as much as you should bow to me, I should bow to you. Legolas, you did not even bother to tell me that you were to be wed."
"The wedding was only yesterday and I only found out I was to marry her I few days ago."
"Well might I say your father picked out a fine choice of a bride." Aragorn commented while doing a visual scan of the woman in front of him. This got him a quick smack from Elawen. "Amin hiraetha <I'm sorry>." Elawen shot him a glance that would make an orc's blood freeze.
"You were not at Sam's wedding my friend. He missed you."
"I just got the invitation today. We were just packing to pay that Sam a visit."
"Yes, we thought we would do the same to you on our way back to Gondor. "
"I see. Come, it's too nice a day to spend in doors." Legolas and Aragorn began talking about the past year and Alayvia and Elawen began to get to know each other. As Legolas walked out the door he saw Nemin walking down the hall. "Ah, Nemin, please arrange a feast for our guests here."
        "Right away."
At the sound of that, all Elawen and Alayvia had to do was look at each other and they ran off down the hall toward Alayvia and Legolas' room.
"What do suppose they are up to Legolas?"
"I'm sure we will find out soon. I have an idea of my own." The two walked down the wall and found Nemin. Legolas told him of his plans. Nemin left right away to establish them.

When Aragorn and Legolas knocked on the door to pick up their wives, they were shocked when they answered the door. Alayvia was wearing a dress made of mostly royal blue velvet. It was square at the top and was ankle length. From the waist down, the dress was almost like a rap, having a slit up the middle. Underneath was a light blue sheer fabric that became more apparent as she walked. The same blue fabric made up the sleeves that were bell in shape.
Elawen had a dress made up of purple velvet. The top was of a high cut with a low plunge back and off the shoulder sleeves in a dark purple. The bottom was made of alternating layers of the same dark purple and a lighter shade.
The two couples made their way to a small elegant dinning room. The two men covered the women's eyes before they stepped inside. When they did, they removed their hands and it became evident that the two men had plans of their own.
The room was lit wholly with candle light. The table was laden with many kinds of foods. Though in the middle of it all, were two pots. One filled with melted cheese, another with melted chocolate.

:lol There's a funny story behind this, really. I had originally said Arwen instead of Elawen when I email this to Elfie to beta read. I had at the Bottom.."I was tempted to say Elawen...". I was IMing her when she got it. She said things like "Arwen? WIFE Arwen?!" "Why that stupid b!tch who is my sister!" and then she yelled at me! I told her to read what I said at the bottom. "Tempted!!" she said.
"Can I use you or no?"
"YES! YES!"
"But I have to ask"
"NO! Not when Aragorn is concerned!"
"I figured it would be yes"
"sdhasihdasnda!!! You knew!!"
"ah! don't 'urt me! don't turn me into anything...unnatural"

A few thing in that conversation was changed so it would make sense....:) But anyway, I thought I would share that with you.

Re: To be Immortal
Thanks guys! I think I have 6 chapters left after this one. I had a sudden burst of inspiration and typed up 4 chapters in 2 days. Anywho...

Chapter 17

All too soon a week had passed, and Aragorn and Elawen felt it time to say good bye. "You are welcome anytime Aragorn. You also Elawen. It was fun having you around."
"I shall miss you. Come visit us sometime, aye?" The two women embraced each other. Aragorn went up and took his wife in his arms.
"Namaarie melloneamin. Aa' I'sul nora lanne'lle tenna' ento lye omenta. <Farewell, my friends. May the winds fill you sails until next we meet.>"
"And to you. Tenna' san', Namaarie. <Until then, farewell>"
The two watched the others ride off until they disappeared. "Well, mela, <love> I do think it is my turn to leave." He kissed is wife before jumping on his white horse. She grabbed his hand and looked up at him. "Amin mela lle<I love you> " was all he said before he kicked his horse into a trot. Alayvia picked up her skirts and ran along side his horse, still holding his hand, until he reached the place gates. She dropped his hand and his horse broke off into a run. "Amin mela lle!" Legolas reared his horse and looked at her. He couldn't help but smile.
"Cormamin niuve teena' ta elea lle au'. <My heart shall weep until it sees thee again.>"
"Ta niuve nuva amin. <It shall weep as will mine.> Vanya sulie. <Fair winds.>" Legolas smiled at her reply and turned his horse around and continued onward toward the Shire.
Alayvia, Legolas, and Thranduil decided it would be best if Alayvia stayed behind for this journey. Some rumors were being circulated and they thought it would only worsen the matter if she left. Legolas longed to stay, but Alayvia would have no part of it. "Just because we are wed does not mean we are attached to the hip" and those were her exact words.
She walked back to her room. It was going to feel like a long while before Legolas returned, even if it was just a few weeks.
        "Alayvia?"
        "Yes, Nuinethia?"
"Do you know what you are going to do around here whilst Legolas is away?"
"No, I do not. Do have any ideas?"
"There is always the Women's Common Room." The Women's Common room. It was made up of women, each generally sowing or weaving on some sort of project during the day. Most of the women were unmarried or had no life except for the gossip that was passed through there everyday.
"Isn't that why I'm still here? To get away from the gossip of these halls?"
"Yes, but perhaps you showing up might settle some of the rumors."
"Perhaps." Alayvia went off to ask for Thranduil's advice. Nuinethia may be her councilor, but since her staying was his idea, she wanted his opinion. He told her he couldn't see how it would hurt. Alayvia went back to her room to pick up some needle work but found Nuinethia was still there.
"I'm not sure if I should go. Ladies of the court can be mean to others. I do not think I want to be part of that."
"So don't be! There is more there for you than rumors. There are good people there too. Do not let the bad one's stop you."
Alayvia smiled and left with her needlework.

I think I will post the next two chapters together...
