Character Creation Limits
It has come to Echion and I’s attention that many of the previously-stated character classes may, despite a strict level of surveillance, come to unbalance the storylines, by their sheer power and capabilities. To let wraiths, other dragons or mythical creatures and mages run along without any measure of control could prove to be detrimental for each and every one of us.
Therefore, I have implemented a set of limits that pertain to the number of specimens of each character class which may be created and implemented inside a storyline, per era. No additional characters of any class will be accepted if their limit has been reached. However, mythical species that remain unspecified (or that fall within the Others tab) within this guide have no limit imposed to themselves. Also, truly mundane humans or anthros are not regimented by any limit. You may create as many of them as you would wish to.
Without further ado, here is the list. It shall be copied into each Era Biographies forum and referred to as often as needed.
Otherworlders
Wraiths: 1 specimen of thirty years of existence or more per era, followed by 4 of less than five years;
Others: no limit as of now, their use is left to the players’ discretion.
Mythical Beings
Dragons: 5 specimens allowed per era;
Gryphons: 3 specimens allowed per era;
Unicorns: 3 specimens allowed per era;
Others: no limit as of now.
Mages
2 scholars allowed per era.
Mundanes (Human and Anthro)
No limits, although only three members of a single profession will be allowed per era. This therefore means three knights, three paladins, three poets, thieves, so on and so forth. Besides, with the diversity which the world has forever offered to mundanes, I am confident that there shall be no shortage of work for your mundanes.
Should you come to design the specifics for another otherworldly or mythical species, I shall ask two things of you: one, that you design their merits and flaws with care, as well as provide me with a guide which I shall implement in my den. Two, I would also appreciate it if you would tell me what limit of use would be appropriate for your species, should others come to use it.
Please be aware that I would never seek to rein your creativity in, even if your character belongs to a pre-existent breed. However, should one of the limits be met, I will regretfully be forced to turn your associated character down. I am willing, however, to aid you in developing another character, should you be unable to do so yourself. Simply deposit a request in my office and I will either answer it myself, or pass it along to Echion, LEAM, or one of the moderators, in whom I have the utmost confidence.
