Tough Choice... Pirates was a lot better than the namesake let on. A whole lot better... Of course, X 2 and Matrix 2 didn't make it in you poll, either, that would have made it all the more difficult... Hey, on League, how can you Tell that the screen writer did not read "the Picture of Dorian Grey?" it occurs to me that I've seen something else that is good... what was it?
Re: Movies...
I know...
I thought of the poll then I couldn't think of any good movies... the list was kinda lame.
I've seen Pirates twice, tho... it only gets better.
I didn't go see The Hulk. I decided it was better to not have to forget THAT particular image of my first favorite comic book hero.
Now I'll wait for the new Viggo movie... Hidalgo. While I wait for the one I really wanna see... The Return of The King. But hey... December's only 4 months away...

Return of the King! I can't wait! Arrrgggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: aaauuuggghhh!!!!!
if it's Kelly, it's most definitely NOT a Legolas thing.
Pretty boy elf.
If his first few movies are any indicator, young Mr. Bloom does have a very lucrative and promising career ahead of him. Here's hoping his early success doesn't go to his head.

It's a Frodo thing. You can quote me on that.
***********************
"Dear me! We Tooks and Brandybucks, we can't live long on the heights."
"No," said Merry. "I can't. Not yet, at any rate. But at least, Pippin, we can now see them, and honour them. It is best to love first what you are fitted to love, I suppose: you must start somewhere and have some roots, and the soil of the Shire is deep. Still there are things deeper and higher; and not a gaffer could tend his garden in what he calls peace but for them, whether he knows about them or not. I am glad that I know about them, a little." --The Return of the King

Speaking of the wonderful Aragorn...just as I hit "send" on the last post, I saw him on a commercial--for batteries, I think! Weird...something about that just doesn't seem to be "right". Just a couple of more weeks till I can buy the video...YAY!!!!

Re: aaauuuggghhh!!!!!
well, it wasn't just like he did a commercial, Duracell was advertising the fact that when shooting LOTR Two Towers, they used their batteries...
Justin: "Hey, Brad. Who are you dressed as?"
Brad: "Brad Olsen of the Waiting, see?"
Justin: "Uh, sure."
Brad: "Mike came as Clark Leake."
Mike: "Nobody gets my costume. They don't get who I am."
Random Passing Kid: "Hey, Brad!"
Brad: "Everybody gets mine though... My bald cap itches."

My favorite movie that I have seen this summer (and even this year) has been by far, Seabiscuit. It's a great and wonderful movie. I could go on and on but I will stop right there for now.
And I know I've been afraid of
Every little thing
But today I join creation
when I raise my head and sing
She's opend my eyes, and now I'm where I belong, joined in a song
You're truly amazing ...

I think there is an "e" in the first name, and a "c" in the last name.
I liked Pirates, too. I heard they might do a sequel... i'd watch it
I haven't seen seabiscuit yet... but that's a long and tragic tale....

Actually, its a horse thing. (I think Tobey is pretty cute, too.) I love the history of thoroughbred racing and especially a movie about one of the legends like Seabiscuit.

this summer seemed good for movies, except a few too many were sequels... But I think I posted about that a while back somewhere... oh. yeah.... right... Anyway, I've missed a bunch that I wanted to see.

There have been way too many sequels. Not a whole lot of movies have interested me this summer.

I'm not big on sequels, really, but the ones that came out this year were not that bad... Matrix: Reloaded and X 2 were better than the first.. Well, maybe Matrix: Reloaded is in some ways

I haven't seen The Matrix Reloaded yet but I saw X2 -- I thought the latter was great .. even better than the first one.
