A return to a dusty attic....
Hi anybody? :)

I've returned to the black and violet halls, hoping against hope to see life, alas there is barely a pulse. I've been creative and have a few bits and pieces that I shall pop in the right places in the near future....you never know ;)

They say you can dwell on the past to the point where it starts to haunt you – bringing up wraiths of times gone by till you are walking amongst them, through them, and they leave a warm breath or an icy shiver. They can cajole and implore, eager for you to bask in the memory they offer, or they can sneak out of the mist and bring you sobbing to the floor, wracked with the pain of failure and loss, an old wound flexing, stitches popping until bitterness seeps up between the ragged edges you thought had healed….

Hello! LaHibou pointed me to this place. Just new to this board and happy to have found it. I don't have anything I can share just now, but hopefully I will soon.

Thanks for the invite, I'm going to go exploring. :)

Re: A return to a dusty attic....
Hello

A wise old owl mentioned this site as one which needed dusting off and revigorating, perhaps. Thought I'd pop in and try getting involved... :smokin

I just read (most of) Dan Brown's Digital Fortress, having succumbed to the hype, and found it a bit of a bore, really. Did anyone else avoid the global Brown-nosing of recent times?

Also, can anyone tell me what happened from page 350 to the end, as I left the book in a pub :\

My creative juices have dried up of late but there will be more liquid coming soon, that I do know. Any poetry-pickers out there?

Har! The less said about your 'juices' the better CC Vulture - but good to see you, and you too Crobster - start threads, bump old ones, but most importantly, 'be here'.

Feel free to put up some of your work CC', I knows ya have a webpage somewhere so plug it, or post some excerpts - and Crobster I happen to know is something of an authority on film and music, amongst other things ;)

We had some talented wordsmiths here once upon a time, and I know some still lurk in the Black and violet ether - I am sure they will introduce themselves...

Thanks for the encouragement, Hibsy ;-) Those wishing to check my fare out might be able to at fly.to/ccvulture, altho it's as temporamental as the girl who's ditched me and I've forgotten the passwords so haven't updated it for 3 years!

When I have my USB flashpen on me I'll whack some verses up here and I'd welcome any pastings :smokin

Hello again DeShaz - i've returned with a few friends, thought perhaps if I could get a few threads up and running it might attract a few people back, or a few new posters to stick around. I've always thought the site logo looked a wee bit like a lantern inthe dark - so it's about time some nightlife came flittering around. Who knows.... :)

Yeah - I hope they stick around. Got any finger snapping beatniks in your crowd?

I dunno about beatniks but here's CC Vulture in repose by the fire, reading his own poetry! :D

Actually I quite like that pic - we were chilling in the west of Ireland - Atlantic views, peat fires - we all found it to be very inspirational in our own ways, an atmosphere that compels you to reflect and, well, maybe write a poem or two, i know CCV did - perhaps he'll share...

Yeah, good times good vibes in SW Ireland, Hibbo ;-)

DeShaz, I'd post something I'd written there, up here, for your perusal & comments, but ain't got any on me. Will do when I have!

What sort of ting you write yourself?

I was just about to point you towards some of DeShaz's material CCV but it seems you have found it for yourself.

Good, isn't she? ;)
