Re: themed dances
Cool! Twiggy would be great.
It's worth mentioning that people can dress up like *any* type of star from *any* decade. Actors and actresses always come to people's minds first, but feel free to come as a model, singer, sports star, corporate star (heehee, I think it would be very funny for a guy to come as Donald Trump), science star (Bill Nye), or any other kind of "star." It's also definately not restricted to any time frame. If people wish to come as Joan of Arc, William Shakespeare, Queen Victoria, Pocahontas, or any other "historical star," that's fine, too.
Of course, with the "decades" portion of the title, that leaves it open to simply dress up as a generic person from any particular decade. Dress all in 80's stuff... or 1880's stuff. Doesn't matter.
Most of the dance themes are left fairly broad so that interpretation and creativity with design is wide open (I love the idea of someone coming as a jar of jam for the Jammy Jam!).

Awesome!
You crack me up!
Okay and seriously I went to Claire's the other day and it was all 80s stuff! So far I have been unsuccessful in locating slouch socks, legwarmers, or a good belt.
But there is no shortage of leggings and jewelery out there.
re:
i was just wondering- i have this cotten dress that is kinda dressy, but not really, and its not prom like. does anyone wear those kinds of casual dresses to the gov. ball? i didnt see any in the pictures...and another thing- i look like this one celebrity, or so everyone tells me, from this decade. can i just be her for the decades dance?
all these questions are coming up as im packing...
thanks!
Re: re:
There really are no rules on what you can or cannot wear to any of the dances. Well, other than continuing to follow the basic dress code rules in the Student Handbook.
