help. i get the itches really bad after
I've had this problem for about 3months now and i'm hoping someone has some good advice for me! I get the itches like mad after me and dh have any kind of sex. it's uncontrolable, I end up running to the bathroom after words almost crying cuz it's killing me and then i crawl back into bed and clinch my legs really tight together to try to ease some of the itch and to prevent me from wanting to scratch scratch scratch.
I've been to the dr about this and they gave me 3 different prescriptions to clear up what they said was a bacterial infection and i've taken monistat to clear it up in case it was a yeast infection. Nothing is working and now all the doc is pretty much saying is that it's just a pregnancy thing. i'm not taking very lightly to the fact that dr says it's nothing and thinking to myself i'm going to have to wait until after i have this baby to have sex again. I'm not due until 6-25 then another 6-8 weeks after that so i can heal. We are talking about going another 6 months here until i can enjoy sex again.
Maybe it's a sensitivity to DH's semen? Some women are actually allergic--maybe the pregnancy has caused you to becomse sensitive. Maybe give condoms a try? Good luck!

it sounds to me like thrush. its really common during pregnancy i never had it until i fell pregnant, then i had it really bad with both my previous pregnancies and at 16 weeks pg am getting it again. i dont get other symptoms like burning when i pee or funny discharge, but i get major itching and end up really sore, it only ever happens after sex. the best advice i could give is after sex wash yourself out immediately (an anticlimax i know) and hold a cool wet cloth to yourself to ease any itching or redness. best advice though is always keep a pot of natural yoghurt in the fridge it cools it down and clears it up straight away.
