just venting
I just got into London a few days ago, none of my friends are with me cuz their vacation doesn't end until next week. No one for me to call. Its a cold and windy day, I'm wearing a zillion things cuz I don't want to get a cold, but as soon as I get onto the tube, its crammed like sardines and you start sweating under all the clothes and its so uncomfortable! Then finally you make it out to the cold, its refreshing, but I already feel and itch in the back of my throat, and some post-nasal drip thats just delightful. I'm stressed out about my research papers, pimples galore on my forehead. No food in the house, living on crisps and chocolate. Its my birthday today and I want someone to spoil me, but ain't nobody around. Sure, they'll be coming soon, I know, and I'm busy, with a zillion things to do, and I'm a lucky person, a happy person, but I sure would like a hug!
ah well...
Here's a big ol' cyber hug...cyber hugs suck, but I guess it's better than nothing. Happy birthday!
I was thinking about venting a bit myself, but that would be unwise...I'd have to list everything and then I would get really depressed. I'll just maintain my midwest stoicism and shovel the driveway again.

Well, I am going to be in London quite a bit these next few weeks!
Happy birthday for yesterday Blisslessly, crisps and chocolate make for good party food but no good if you're on your own - the weather is nice here right now so I hope you are enjoying a wee bit of sunshine - also, I find Berocca tablets (half a day, available at Boots etc) an excellent primer against tube-born illness...
:)
Oh you guys! You really made my day!! Your cyber hugs are pretty damn good actually!!!
Thankfully, the weather is better! I have a hectic week ahead of me, I'm in the middle of moving, I have a deadline on the 14th, and I have a cold thats been lingering, and, ok, i'll admit it, some pms too. My mom is arriving on Sunday to help with the move, so yay!!! I get to snuggle up and be pampered. I so can't deal with furniture shopping right now, so she'll be taking over.
WOuld love to meet with you, La Hibou. Yeah, manniac's got his devilish grin in the background. As for Damnit Jim, I'm gonna close my eyes and send you some positive vibes... And Deshaz, nice dancing! Baila baila!!
Shoveling what?
I am from Kansas...currently living in Nevada...and doing a LOT of shoveling.
I need all the pos-vibes I can get. This weekend is my daughters b-day (11th) and her special request was to go to...ohmygawd...the FRICKEN happiest place in the universe...Disneyland.
The worst part of it is I have a head cold and my ears won't pop...which means I can't fly us there...which means...10 fricken hour drive starting at about 12 today...10 fricken hour drive back starting at about 8:00pm Sunday night. They better have a fricken Mr. MiniBar in the fricken DisneyFrickenLand FrickenHotel or I will fricken kill me a DisneyFrickenCharacter By grabbing a fricken Japanese person by the feet and using them as a bat.

disney and ear aches
Hang in there Jim! Help is on the way!!! positive tidal waves, major concentration!! yeah, come on, you know you feel better! Ok, i'll throw in a head message, aiming the good vibes to your temples...
I'm sure they have a mister minibar and maybe you can request a misses swedish masseuse.
Meanwhile, it might ease the discomfort if you tie a bandana around your forehead, nice and tight. Think karate kid.
Happy birthday to your daughter! She's a capricorn like me! She must be very talented then, hee hee.
And remember, you never know who's under that minimouse costume! Actually, forget that, stick to the human characters. Maybe you will get to know who's under the cinderalla dress!
sheesh, scary thought, too michael jacksonesque. stick to the minibar daddy-o.
Currently all is well, thaks always subject to change.
BTW Jim, after your post about the mezzanine I have made it to several HOG games. Was up in the nose bleed section once. The view was great gotta hand it to you boys.
