Here is a good recipe for homemade baking mix alot like bisquick.
9 cups sifted all purpose flour
1/4 cup baking powder
3 cups shortening
tsp salt(optional)
slowly combine your sifted flour and baking powder to your shortening use a pastry knife or two butter knifes and blend, it will bead up and look kind of mealy like bisquick, store in airtight container and use for quick breads biscuits and other things you may use bisquick for.
It makes alot and saves alot for the price of bisquick.
