personal family yule traditions
Hi all,
I would be curious to hear about everyones Yule family traditions....
One thing we do , for Yule dinner we set a special plate on the altar in thanks and loving memory for our ancestors, so that they may join us in this day.
I think it is a wonderful time of sharing and getting to know people, the threads that bring us together are often found stronger and more common this time of year.

good idea sherry!
We do the christmas thing more then yule...but the yule log is one thing we do do. we each hol d the log and make a wish on it and then we burn it and scatter the ashes around our hillside then decorate a yule tree for the wild things...honey cakes for the squirrls food for the birds meat for the predators (diff tree of course) and finally treats for the dear...its a trad. my kids love...and they wait up not for santa but for their furry and feathered sibs!

I love both ideas !!!!I'm going to a tree in my fav woods to give the fuzzys a treat I live with almost no trees around my house so you know the woods it is !!!!!! I don't really have any tratitions that I like but I'll tell you abuot some later.
