Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
But seriously, folks,no,it wasnt with a resident of either place. The cemetary thing happened in my teens, with a guy I saw off and on through most of my teens, and the retirement home was the one where Ralph and I used to work together, while he was still married to his first bitc....um,wife. We just happened to have a break at the same time, and no one was looking,so in we went, locked the door, and tried like hell not to make any noise.Boy those handicap bars on the wall sure can be handy.

Re: shadeauxs profile(dont wait for the movie version)
Actually,it WAS Ralph, just not this one.
When I was about 10,my mom went into the hospital(I wouldnt have dared to do this when she was at home),and I went to the pet shop and bought a mouse.I named him Ralph(go figure),and he quickly became my best friend. But he escaped a couple of days before she came home.Well,my grandmother didnt want her to go into heart failure if she saw a mouse scampering across the floor,so she told her about him on the ride home.I came home from school, and Mom told me"I hear you aquired a new pet while I was gone?Your Nana told me all about him" Well,I was expecting to get my rear end kicked all over the house, but she looked at me and said"I know how fond you must be of the little guy,if anything happens to him,and you dont find him,I'll get you another one."I just about fell out of my chair.
The good news is,we did find him,and he was fine, except for a small injury to the tip of his tail, which I had to cut off with nail scissors(just the tip,not the whole thing).Mom even worked up the nerve to hold him,and actually became pretty fond of him herself.
The bad news is,our neighbors kid came over one day,and picked him up,and his mom told him to put "that damned dirty thing back where he got it" so he threw it across the room.Poor little Ralph hit the wall, and slid down into his box(I didnt have a cage,so he lived in two cardboard boxes by the stove, joined together by a paper towel roll). He bled to death, internally,on Christmas eve,in my hands.
I dont know how exotic a mouse is,but he was my first"non-traditional" pet.

Re: shadeauxs profile(dont wait for the movie version)
Honestly,Shammala,Inever remember my dreams anymore. But,once upon a time when I did,I had one that scared the daylights out of me.It still gives me shivers, because in all these years,I've never figured out what it meant.
It happened when Woodrat,)Neil,my 19 year old son),was about 5 years old.I dreamed that I was in a maze, but it was made of something like cattle fencing.I was walking through it,and looked up to see Neil walking after me,only it wasn't quite Neil.He was a zombie. He kept following me,and calling to me,and the mother part of me wanted to run to him,but the sensible part, that knew he would kill me,kept me back.He kept calling though,no matter what, all I could hear was"Momma,Momma,I need you."
I woke up trying to scream, but no sound would come out.I was shaking, sweating and crying, and couldn't go back to sleep.Every time my eyes would shut,I would hear his voice saying that, and be wide awake again.
I have to say, that was the most frightening dream I've ever had in my life.No other even comes close.

The only reference to zombies I ever found in dream meaning, where that zombies were a way for a part of ones greater self to stlk you, make itself known. However,I've never been able to get to why Neil was the zombie,or why the cattle-gate maze. So,no,the deeper meaning of the dream was never figured out.

Absolutely. I believe that our lives here are only so that our souls can experience, and the "other side" is our true home.I believe our souls plan out the major events in this life, from the family we're born into,to the way,and time, that we die. Then,we can review our experiences, and choose which lessons still need work,in the next life.

Re: shadeauxs profile(dont wait for the movie version)
Think back to what was going on in your life around the time of that dream.
As far as Neil being a zombie in the dream, Were you worried in real life about someone else's influence on him? and/or how that influence would affect his feelings, thoughts, or perceptions of you? Sometimes, zombies in a dream will represent someone else's influence on events, people in your lives, or even on you - manifesting a literal fear of yourself or someone close to you being affected so profoundly that they/you will lose your own "identity" (so to speak) in your independent thinking, independent lifestyle, etc... and give yourself/themselves over to that person's influence.. which we are (in real life) or have some worry about that person, whether it be we are just suspicious of them, don't quite trust them, or have out-and-out bad feelings towards them (like an ex-husband or ex-wife who one feels is trying to turn their children against them or poison their minds against them).
As far as the cattle-gate maze, well, mazes usually represent complex life-change situations that you are trying to sort out in your mind.. like divorce or relationships ending, jobs changing, etc.

Re: shadeauxs profile(dont wait for the movie version)
Being worried about someone elses influence on him makes a lot of sense,Bee.I worried a lot,at that time about how much influence his biological father had had on him.Neil was very young when we split up,but,he had influenced my oldest son immensely- to the point of ruining my relationship with him.I used to worry a lot that Neil may have taken in a lot more than anyone realized.Good call, Bee.Thanks.
