Re: re: static houseboats I can provide details of new houseboats. What is your budget? I have a direct contact with Sweden where the new boats they are building are fabulous and we are looking at introducing them to the UK which will completely change the way us Brits. view life afloat. |

new swedish houseboats Hallo! I'm new to the site, and have just seen your post re the new h/boats being built in sweden. I'm looking for a residential h/boat to buy, and I'm currently 'feeling'my way around - getting info together etc. One thing which appalls me- i have so far found very little in the way of residential h/boats on the internet, and not much in the boating mags either. Could you please send me info on the Swedish h/boats thanks marion |

reply I've just answered a query about where to find a suitable vessel so maybe you could trawl through todays date to find that. Do you have any specific queries? |

houseboat for sale the best floating home community has to be Taggs Island, near hampton court. Static houseboats have circled the island since the 1850’s. Prices are not for the faint-hearted nor those on a budget. We now have a houseboat for sale in the lagoon - asking price £180,000. Full details are available from: islandlife2004@hotmail.com Genuine enquiries only please - no sightseers! Conventional mortgages are not available. We think some people have arranged part finance on other boats through 'Collidge & Partners' in the past. Most purchasers are cash buyers. It is a brilliant lifestyle. We are not leaving the island but moving to another boat. We are intending to post details in the for sale section on the main liveaboard website. We also know of a 39' mooring on the island for sale. It has a studio dwelling (mortgageable) - no houseboat. Ideal for someone wanting to live part time on the land and part time on their boat. Asking price £185,000 leasehold. A 999 lease is available to buy. |
