valuing houseboats
Dear All,

Can anyone tell me how a houseboat is valued? I looked at a 20 year-old, 44 foot houseboat in south-west London with freehold double mooring that is priced £400,000. I don't know if that is expensive or reasonably priced.

As a rule, do houseboats rise in value like the landbased housing market or do they depreciate like a car or caravan?

If anyone can throw light on any of this, I would be most grateful.

Thanks,
Richard
