warder for sale (anyone feel free)
Algeric sheathed his sword and wiped the sweat from his brow. Releasing the ko'di he took a deep breath and scanned the grounds.
People went about their business, some sisters stopping to glance at the men working the forms or sparring but most continued on without a glance. Perhaps those who looked were looking for a warder or perhaps some just liked the look of sweating muscular men. He surpressed a laugh at that though he knew some sisters thought in that way. Becoming Aes Sedai did not mean they stopped being women.
He watched the Master at Arms working the forms with a new recruit and he smiled thinking back to his training. He turned and walked back towards the barracks his cloak swirling through the colors as the wind took it. He had finished his official training a year ago although a warder never truely stopped training and learning. He had not yet been bonded by an Aes Sedai but it would happen in time. When the right match for him came along it would.
He was not exactly anxious for it to happen but it had been his reason for coming here after all. To bond with an Aes Sedai and side by side fight the shadow. He could have stayed in Shienar if all he had wanted was to become a blademaster. He walked on greeting those he knew enjoying the day...
Richard looked over as the young Sheinarian walked out of the yard. He was proud of Algeric. The man had proved to not only be a good swordsman, but a good warder. Perhaps he could get him out with an Aes Sedai soon. Nothing official had come down from the Tower in a while. The Asha'men where still marauding the country side.
Shaking his head to clear the thoughts away, he moved back to his trainging. He paused and made a mental note to have Algeric come in to see him that evening. See if he could help the man with his carreer.
(OoC: Aran, feel free to jump in again if you want. If not, no hard feelings. I'll be in and out so please bear with me.)

Re: warder for sale
Algeric made his way across the warder's yard in the deepening twilight. The black high collared shienaran coat he wore and his warder's cloak made him invisible to all but maybe other warder's. He had been summoned to the Master at Arms office and he wondered what it was about. He was not nervous as he knew he had done no wrong merely...curious.
He lowered the hood of his cloak and inhaled deeply. The air had the the smell of rain, it always did due to the river, it was a smell that Algeric enjoyed. Though a much better smell than the smell of the blight he curiously found himself missing that smell at times. Tales of trouble in the borderlands had reached him and he sometimes longed to return to his old home. Yet he knew it was not yet time to go home. THere was more training to be done and he had not yet found an Aes Sedai. Perhaps this evening would help him along in one of these things at the least.
Ahead he could see a light in the window of Richard's office and he walked the last few yards in a mood of strange excitement. He knowcked on the door and when Richard's voice came through telling him to enter he walked in and closed the door behind him. He saluted formally in th emanner of th eborderlands and spoke.
" I have come at your summons Master at Arms and would know what you wish of me."
Re: warder for sale
Richard couldn't help but smile. He rose from his desk and returned the salute. He sat back down and pointed at the other chair across from him.
"It's been years since I've seen that," Richard started off, still smiling. "And you honor me with such a salute. However, you're not here to honor me. You're here because I've seen the way you work around here and I'm impressed. I've called you here to ask you what you wish for a duty. You've done more then your share of patrolling the city and the grounds. While you're not a Master Gaiden yet, you are well on your way."
Richard sighed. He could tell he was rambling. Blasted politics around here were getting to him. He hated it, but it came with the job.
"Basically Algeric, how do you wish to serve? Your work here has been more then enough for this reward."
Re: warder for sale
Algeric frowned slightly not sure what to say.
" you do me great honor," he said," I will serve in whatever way you think i can serve best. there is much chaos in the world. If you think I could be of some service to the Tower out among that chaos it would please me. I ultimately desire to bond an Aes Sedai but as I have not yet been so lucky."
He paused at this point and shrugged.
" If there is an Aes Sedai who has a mission that would take her outside the Tower I would consider it a great honor."
Algeric waited for an answer..
